FANTASTIC PRODUCT ! IT REALLY WORKS !
This product is amazing and you will be asking yourself why you didn't get it sooner. My house is considerably warmer now with these insulation kits installed. THEY REALLY WORK ! I used a laser thermometer on my windows, before and after. I had a 3-6F degree temperature increase on average with the window film. I actually turned my thermostat down on my gas furnace by a few degrees which will make a huge difference in my bill over the entire winter. I have to admit, I was always skeptical about these, but they really do work. They aren't bad to install. All you need is a pair of scissors and a hair dryer. I got a good rhythm going and did 14 windows. I accidentally tore a hole in my first piece of film I cut. But you really can do 15 windows with it. First, I moved my curtains aside. Then I cleaned my windows and the frame with Windex. Next, this to me was the hardest part and that was putting the tape on. Separating the clear double sized tape from the white covering was hard for me because my nails are short. Once I did that, I folded the white cover part back about 1/4 inch forming a tiny tab, then placed the tape across the top of the frame. Then I did the the sides. And the bottom of the window last. I pulled the white cover tab I made off of each piece before moving on to the next section. So here's where I made my mistake on the first one. I accidentally unfolded the roll first. What you need to do is roll the plastic out as it is right from the roll without unfolding it. Measure your window across where the tape is and give an inch or two on either side. Then make your cut. Unfold the plastic and start placing it on the tape at the top. Then do your sides and follow up with the bottom. Now you're ready to shrink wrap it using your hair dryer. Set the hair dryer on the high setting and move the dryer across the film slowly. Keep it moving. Once the film heats up you will see the film start to shrink. Keep the hair dryer moving. Don't let it sit to long in once place or you could possibly burn a hole in the plastic. It helps to have a lot of light in the room to spot the wrinkles. They will all come out. Just be patient. And when you're done, it will look amazing ! Tight as a drum and just like a pane of glass ! I used this product along with painters tape to tape the seams of the windows and foam outlet covers to stop any drafts from coming in.

• “Easy Install and Great Winter Protection”
I’m impressed with how well the Duck Brand Window Insulation Kit performs. The film is easy to cut, the tape adheres firmly, and installation was straightforward — just follow the steps and use a hair dryer to tighten the film. Once in place, it becomes nearly invisible and creates a tight seal that really blocks out drafts. Within a day, I could feel a difference in temperature near my windows, and my heating system doesn’t have to work as hard. It’s especially useful for older windows or rental spaces where you can’t fully replace the glass. You get enough material to cover up to 10 windows, which makes it a great value. Overall, this kit does exactly what it promises — keeps warm air in, keeps cold air out, and saves on energy costs. Highly recommended for winter prep.

Very Helpful for Keeping the Cold Out
This window insulation kit worked really well for us during the cold season. We installed it on our windows, and it made a big difference in keeping the cold air out. It was easy to cut and install, and once it was on, it helped keep the room warmer and more comfortable. You can really feel the improvement. Overall, it’s a simple and effective solution for winter. I’m very happy with it and would definitely use it again. 👍

Perfect results. Apply extra heat and any flaw will disappear
I have never used a product like this but decided to put it on over replacement vinyl windows at the ski cabin that had the smallest air leaks but any leak is a waste of energy. I first tried to be as exact and precise as I could but learn that was not necessary. I did the other 7 windows by cutting the film with ample length, then framing in the frame with the provided tape.. all that was left was to unfold the film, pressing it to the tape as I went and no I was not precise. Even with massive wrinkles in the film once you apply heat the film shrinks up and is crystal clear. I would give this 10 stars for ease of use even if you’re not at all careful however the country of origin is a negative.

Incredible Value, Incredible Results, Incredibly Easy to Install
This is the best! The kit was super easy to install, and once it's been stretched with the hair drier (I used a commercial heat gun but same results) it is completely transparent. There is literally no way to tell that this is on a window -- you see no reduction or degradation of the light coming through, and there is no distortion or blurring to give away that there's a plastic window sealer installed. It takes me about 30 minutes to install on two 70" windows and a third 35" window, including the time it takes to remove and replace the blinds. I would highly, highly recommend this easy-to-use and quality product!

It works!
I have some floor-length windows with no insulation that I didn’t want to replace, so I tried this kit.it was fairly easy to install following the instructions. The only problem I had was that it was hard to get the backing off the double-stick tape. The next cold night I could tell that it did keep the cold out. And if you get the plastic tight enough it is almost invisible. I would highly recommend it.

So-So. Tape is too thin and weak to hold for the winter
So-so. It's a great idea, but the provided tape is thin and becomes less sticky when cold... Like when it is getting blasted by the cold air from the window. My windows are very deep (~1 ft) and my bed lies right against the wall, so I have to install the plastic inside the 1 ft space. Works for the first few days, then gaps appear in the seal where the plastic pops off the tape, letting cold air jetstream out. I even double layered one of my windows, but the same problem persists.

Thoroughly impressed.
With 2 of these packages I did 15 windows (1 very large) and a French door and I still have half a roll of film and at least a roll of tape left. The product is tough and forgiving, shrinks as much as you could possibly hope for when heated, and is very clear. Some things I learned: Make sure you clean the area where the tape will be. If there's some dust that keeps the tape from sticking, you'll wish you had spent a minute on cleaning. Tape the entire window first, peeling the backing off and folding it over a little at every end (so you don't have to deal with getting the backing to separate while you have film hanging around it) and overlapping the tape in the corners. Press the tape down firmly to get a strong bond with the window (this matters most when you have to re-adjust the film as you apply it, because if the tape comes off when you pull the film and the film gets stuck to it all cock-eyes, as opposed to staying stuck to the window, you're going to hate life). The tape is meant to hold the film well only when it's being pulled parallel to the window. If you have to put the film over a protrusion near the edge of the window (like a latch or knob), thereby causing it to pull away from the window, you're going to want to mitigate it with extra tape or something. Cut the film to length for the window first (don't worry about the width), then line up the top-left corner and stick it, then do the top, then go down the left, then, pulling the film down and right to stretch it a little, stick it to the right side, and finally stick the bottom. Then trim with a razor blade or the like. It took a little more heat than I expected. Using the hair dryer that happened to be laying around, I had to essentially drag the business end across the film on its highest heat setting, but then had to be careful not to melt holes through the plastic (which I did 3 times, and in all 3 cases just put a little more tape and another layer of film over the hole). Thought about pulling out my heat gun instead, but figured I'm probably ruin things with that.

The best results from this brand
I tried a few brands of window film and definitely had the best results with this one. You cannot see it unless looking very closely. The tape sticks great and I have not had any loosen over at least a month, as I did with another brand within one day. With cold weather and single glazed windows this made a difference to loss of heat. Not incredibly but enough that it was well worth it. Instuctions are good but watching a video made it much more clear and turned out to be quite easy. I left mine overnight before using a hairdryer to tighten to plastic (which takes out all wrinkles! It's quite amazing and satisfying) and trimming the edges the following day. Cannot tell it is there, especially on white window frames.

Conforme mais pas simple a installer
Attention au format qui n'est pas très adapté aux grandes vitres. Pas facile a installer de surcroît. Pas convaincu non plus de l'efficacité. Pour le reste, le produit est conforme a la description.

Works really well!
Having done some research it seemed the Duck version of this was the one to go for. Great tape, super clear film. It’s tricky to install but that in its nature as window film. End result though is excellent and it’s really helping to keep my old draughty Victorian house warm.

Much Better! Works for me!
Assumed the problem was ME with last kit. NOT. (I am mobility challenged and disabled) Thinner? Yes, but having seen folds, and lack of transparency... Tape? Much better and lots of it Easy to apply? Yes, much easier, a window took 1/2 the time!
