Shelves are so short they do not reach each side. It leaves a gap on either side which does not look good or sturdy. Worried it’ll pull away from the frame.

This company makes the best furniture for the price out there. Hardware can be difficult to work with sometimes but sometimes not. It's a gamble. There is often wood glue that will need to be sanded down if it's being stained. But even so, this is a bookshelf that will last forever, if cared for, and it looks very nice even if there are some minor imperfections.

I really like this shelving unit, it works well as an "all purpose" unit. I haven't stained it yet, but I intend to when I get it's larger sibling fully assembled. The wood quality is good, it should take a stain nicely (the desk and lingerie dresser from the same company look gorgeous), looking forward to it. In the meantime, it looks functional and nice enough.My only complaint about this piece is that the instructions demanded something physically impossible. They show that you fully assemble the frame first (top, bottom, and two sides), after which you install several small supports on both the top and bottom. Unfortunately, this doesn't work if you've screwed the frame into place, because the supports have small knobs that have to be pushed into the holes on the wood frame, being that they're equal length (not including the little knobs, those are extra), there's not enough space to do this. So, you have to sigh, unscrew one side (both top and bottom), install the supports, and then re-screw the side back on. It's annoying and adds a little time to construction. Also, there are no holes in the bottom of the shelves to screw them into place, so you'll need to drill them (carefully) yourself, or simply screw the screw into place through sheer force of will.

Things to love about this piece:- Very well packaged! Everything was wrapped so it didn’t rub.- Solid wood. This is hard to find at this price.- Affordable pricing for good quality. (So rare)- Easy assembly! I did this myself.- The wood is sanded and ready to stain.- You get to stain it yourself.Things not to love about this piece:- I honestly had a very positive experience and have nothing negative to offer!I had bought the bedside tables previously and was VERY pleased with them (pictured). The corner in our bedroom was missing something, and this bookshelf was just the piece! I loved that I could match these pieces to the bed frame that I had refinished. I will definitely be purchasing from this company again. I have been very impressed with the quality for price.

love these- i bought 2 of them and conditioned and stained them. i also have the console table. they all look great. if i had a place for more of these i'd buy them. they took a bit to get them together- the first was a bit hard- but the second went smooth- after we figured out the method that worked for us. the only change i'd make is to maybe put indents in the bottom of each shelf so the pegs can rest in the bottom so that i would not have to affix the shelves as permanent. without a back the shelves can move since i didn't want them permanently in place.the biggest down is that you can only use one side of the shelves. ALL parts have a stamped ink symbol that i could not remove with medium sanding. if you painted it would not be a problem, but since i stained- they are noticeable on the bottom areas and bottom of each shelf.

Easy assembly; very sturdy; very nice looking! I love it!

This book shelf is wonderful! The instructions were relatively simple to follow, and I was able to assemble it by myself with no extra tools in about an hour or so. The easily adjustable shelves are also a huge plus, it makes organization super easy. Overall definitely worth the money!

Nice quality item, will purchase another. Only minor issue was with assembly.The holes to accept the hardware to hold the shelves were too small. I just ran a drill bit around the inside of the holes and it was OK. But the book shelf looks great, I may not even get around to staining or painting.
