Pentair 618031 IntelliBrite Waterproof Outdoor LED Color Pool and Spa Light Controller

Installed Pentair 618031 controller and it worked perfectly. This was a replacement to a failed one that had been in service for a few years. Tip: When registering device for warranty, be sure to get the serial number off the device (BEFORE you install it) and don't rely on the box serial number.

It works and it has an App!! After looking for a transformer in my power box, but not finding one, I realized the light controller was at the light in the pool. Then I was like, what kind of light do I have? I was not sure if my pool light was a Pentair or something else. You see, we moved in to this house last November and the prior owner said you control the lights by just flipping the switch on and off but every time I tried, it was still randomly switching colors in different patterns. Finally, after some google searches I found a pattern diagram for a couple of different light manufacturers. It said I had to flip the on/off switch 8 times to get a constant blue pattern for a Pentair light. I tried it and to my surprise it worked, constant blue. So now that I knew it was indeed a Pentair wasn’t sure if this switch would work. So I installed this switch and I was so happy it worked!! This switch does indeed control the lights even if the controller is in the light itself. Then I noticed a QR code for an app. Within a few minutes I created an account and connected to the light switch.. So I went from hoping I’d be able to press one button to change colors to having 100% control through wi-fi. You can even set schedules. So this was a huge win for me. Worth every penny but you need to make sure your lights are Pentair.

The installer for the lights never provided the controller, this was a great purchase, easy to install and connect. only have to connect to the power and the controller does the rest. the only issue is this can't be added to GOOGL assistant or Alexa so have to manually go to the app to switch on and off, and the App is also a little outdated and slow.

Love, now I don’t have to go outside in bad weather to turn on.

Unable to set up connection to Bluetooth. Written instructions provided with product are different than those on the App. Neither worked. Further, trying to talk to customer service is impossible as they want the product to first be registered; but if you go their website, it is impossible to find that particular product to register.
