StrikeMaster Power Auger Extension 12'

Late ice in Minnesota can have some pretty deep ice depths and a need for extension. This 20" extension will take care of that. It is ready to install and felt pretty sturdy drilling holes with it. The only drawback to the 20" extension, is if you're short, you may not be able to properly use your ice auger. I'm 5' 10" and I had issues at times. My auger was as tall as I was. A 12" extension is probably more than you need anyways. Other than that, it does what it is suppose to.

I purchased this item to use on an Earth Auger, even though it's intended for an Ice Auger. I had to modify it to fit by trimming the area below where it bolts to the auger(this may not be necessary with Ice vs Earth augers though).The steel isn't very thick and seems pretty mild, but it functioned well to drill five 8" holes through sandy soil with some rocks and roots. It hasn't shown any signification wear. I'm confident it will work just fine and last as long as I'll need it.
