Great for Hydrangea Lovers
This product is difficult to find in my local garden centers, so I looked to Amazon. I apply these spikes as directed once in Spring (early April). I live in NYS, and this seems to be the correct time to use the product, based on the results. My hydrangeas have never bloomed so prolifically.

Great for blueberries
5/2018 update:I still have the same 15 potted blueberry bushes and still use these spikes with great results. Early this year I did re-pot all of them. They were still doing great but most of the pots needed more soil. So I slid them out of their pot, put some fresh bagged soil with some peat moss into the pot before putting the blueberry back in. Then topped it with some more soil, peat moss and one of these fertilizer spikes. They loved it and are putting out some huge blueberry's in mass quantities again this year.Regular watering and these spikes still make me look like I know what I'm doing. I started planting these over 4yrs ago when my wife was first pregnant because I wanted my kid to enjoy them. Well my daughter is a little over 4 yrs old now and she absolutely loves them. I have a ridiculous amount of berry's.My 4 potted "triple crown thornless blackberry's" are also loving these spikes. They haven't ripened yet but they definitely look happy. It's looking like I am going to start using these spikes for blackberry's also.If you grow tomatoes, check out the Jobes tomato spikes. They have been giving me great results as well.Nobody has given me anything for my reviews. I'm just a fan of there products.--------------------------------------------------------------------Original post (Jan 10, 2014):When I first got into my blueberry obsession I would buy the granular type fertilizers and either over did it and burnt them or under did it by forgetting to apply fertilizer for too many months. During winter they would frequently lose all of their foliage and just hibernate for the winter because of my neglect.I now use a single spike for each of my 15 potted blueberry bushes. I put a spike in about once every 4 months (3 per year) and almost immediately after spiking the pot there is an explosion of growth. The blueberries now keep their leaves all year and produce wayyy more blueberries. Amazing what feeding your plants will do...These are what I use. I'm no botanist and i'm sure there are better things that can be done but for a regular Joe like myself, these spikes work great. When guests look at all of my blueberries it now looks like I know what I'm doing. If anyone knows of a better product for "the forgetful gardener", let me/us know in the comments.

Easy to use.
Purchased these for hybrid tea roses and they were pretty easy to use. There is a little piece of plastic in the bag (that I didn’t find until almost done) that helps with putting them in the ground. That piece really helps the process along. If you have hard dirt or clay dirt then I’d put them in the ground after it rained. I gave it 4 stars only because I really can’t say if they’ve helped my roses just yet. It was cool here until about 2 weeks ago, but if they are helping then I will order them again.

Good Value
Fertilizer spikes are expensive at local stores. A good price by a reputable company for my azaleas.

It is a fertilizer stick
easier to install if you buy a Auger Drill Bit for Planting 1.6"(D) x16.5"(L), Garden Ground Earth Spiral Drill Bit for 3/8" Hex Drive Drill, for Post Hole Digger Bulb Bedding Digging Plant Rapid Planter from Amazon. It took literally 5 minutes to put them in the ground with the auger bit. Will have to give it a couple months to see results as it is fertilizer and does not work instantly.

Amazing Results!
We have had this Lantana for two years. When I bought it last summer from a nursery it was small and didn't grow much outside. When brought inside, where it sat in a sunny spot, it remained dormant in growth. This summer it was repotted in organic potting soil, placed back in its same sunny spot outside, watered, and fed regularly with these Jobe's spikes. The growth has been nothing short of AMAZING! It has quadrupled in size and the flowers are brilliant and bountiful.

Follow directions for terrific results
NB: I've read the negative reviews and suspect some folks are overfeeding while others are not placing the spikes in an appropriate place. In addition, I would not use these (quite large) spikes in containers, but would use small, flowering plant spikes or just use regular granular rose food. More info: My roses are planted in sand and are watered through flood irrigation. Regular rose food would wash away during irrigation. These spikes work great and have made my roses the envy of the neighborhood for 20 years. Tips: Use the number recommended on the package based on the size of your bush, place the spikes halfway between the center of the bush and the edge of the bush, and drive them into the ground. (If a root blocks the spike, try a slightly different location.) Space the spikes evenly around the circumference of the bush. The spikes will feed your roses wonderfully for three months at least. Remember not to feed prior to dormancy.
