Update: seller responded and issued me a refund. They mentioned in message it is a glass front but I know better, it is not glass. My one star rating stands. It’s just a cheap plastic lightweight clock. Keep shopping because you will find a comparable one for less $———Last week I purchased a clock similar to this one, the ad stated glass front. I received it and next day was sent back because the front was cheap plastic. So back to shopping clocks I found this one. Ad states glass front. Once again I was fooled by false advertising because this clock has a plastic front too. I wrote the seller and I’ll see if they respond. This clock cost $17.99 at time of my purchase and it’s worth $9, since similar clocks are about that actually states cover front is plastic. I just checked questions here and some buyers said they got glass front, some say plastic but when the ad says glass, we should have all gotten glass. This might look good from distance but I know it’s just cheap plastic, I don’t recommend this clock or seller since they have dishonest advertising to lure us in.

I like the 12 inch size of this clock and the easy-to-read numbers. I have this in my bedroom. I will wake up in the middle of the night and am not able to read my digital clock because I am not wearing glasses. This clock is readable in an almost dark room though it does not have luminous numbers. The clock is accurate and totally silent. TIP: It was difficult to insert a AA battery. I used a small size screw driver to push down on the metal piece on the left side of the location where you insert the battery - and this helped to insert the battery. The + end of the battery should face the right side of the battery insert location. This insert instruction (a + sign) is stamped in the plastic on the battery insert location, but the print is small. I am very pleased with this purchase.QA Inspector and Internal Auditor

Have had this for about 2 weeks, and it very accurate. I set the clock to the using the US National Institute of Standards (NIST) available at time.gov. I suspect most folks, do not need this precision but it is good for an honest review. In 2 weeks, it is within 3 seconds - very good, and not dependent on radio waves.It is very nice looking in out kitchen and the second hand is a very welcome sweep with no ticking. One of the advantages of a quartz clock movement. We love it!!
