I got this slip lead basically for emergencies, so I’ve only ever tried it with my pup for a quick run down to the mailbox— it seemed to work well + do its job! I have a small dog— some sort of mini-poodle mix / approx. 15lbs / 16.5” chest girth; 12.5” neck girth / this worked for him just fine. We usually use a chest harness + leash attached to the back ring, so using this was a bit of a struggle but that’s definitely an “us” thing. The leash itself felt very sturdy + secure, and the little piece that allows you to adjust the length around their neck felt sturdy as well. He is small, but even with running around and being very confused by this new set-up, the piece kept the leash where I’d adjusted it, so he wasn’t able to get out of it (tho not for lack of trying!). I imagine the leash will serve its purpose just fine should we ever actually need to use it.

This was a good leash. I have a small dog and I don’t think I have it adjusted right on their head so I don’t use it as much as I had planned on but my dog really pulls a lot so I’m trying a lot of different options.

We originally got this for a 45 pound dog, and the thicker cord worked well for a slip lead for him. Now, we use it with our much smaller puppy. It was working okay to walk him and keep him tied up in an area, but the cord started coming unraveled by the handle. So I don't think it will last long. Also, if you're looking for true functionality with a slip lead as our trainer showed us, this isn't going to do much. Our puppy needs a thinner cord to actually feel the effect of a slip lead properly.

10/10 crap, I wish I spent a little more and got a better quality leash. The pieces that hold “leash” together are hard plastic and one good wack on the ground and it broke, it’s basically a bungee cord glued together covered w plastic pieces

I use this style leash for my dogs when they run out the door and don’t wanna answer when they’re called. It’s great I lost mine but purchased another one the quality is great I really recommend especially if you have dogs that don’t have a good recall like mine.
