Tons of compliments!

I got this necklace in antique bronze 4 years ago. Still have it and get compliments for it. I only paid $8 for it at the time, so I expected that it would turn eventually. Surprisingly, only the chain turned black, and the birds are the same color. I used to make jewelry ages ago so I just changed the chain out so I could continue to wear it. I suggest using a clear acrylic spray or nail polish to prevent or slow down turning.

I've been ogling this necklace for well over a year, and finally bought it. To my dismay, it arrived broken. One of the jump rings came loose and a bird is hanging perilously downwards. Fortunately, the ring was found in the plastic bag, and I believe I can fix it myself, so I'm not returning this.My other, more minor, issue is that, overall, this doesn't hang on me like it does in the pictures or on the model. Maybe it is because my neck has a smaller diameter, or maybe I am just cursed, but the birds kind of squish together and overlap rather than being distinct and separate. That makes it much harder to tell what is happening in the design, and it looks less sophisticated.I do really like the design concept of this necklace. In execution, however, it doesn't have particularly sturdy or expensive-looking construction. It's not crudely made, but could certainly improve. It IS fairly large, and has the potential to look a tad clunky with the wrong outfit.

I previously purchased "antique bronze" from a different shopping app and loved it so much that when it broke I ordered it again, this time from Amazon. The new necklace arrived looking more like antique gold than bronze. I still like it and will keep it, but think the color name should be updated. I expect as many compliments as I got for the old one.Regarding sturdiness, on my original necklace the chain broke very soon after purchase but was easy to replace. Then after years of wear the tip of a swallow's wing broke, which is just too dainty for me to repair. I am not deterred, I like this necklace.

You sent me a very nice note asking my opinion of this necklace and I tried to follow the instructions to give you a review but I could not get it to work, although I tried several times. So,; I tracked it to here so I could leave a review.This is so unusual and I just love it. I have not seen one like it before and I love those kind of necklaces. You, or whoever designed it and whoever actually made did a great job. No, it is not going to be picked up by Winston Jewelers as 'pick of the week' but I didn't pay the price for that to happen anyway.It is well priced, looks great, have no idea how long it will retain its color but for the price, who cares. It is the originality of the necklace that I liked and will certainly tell other people who sold it to me. I love this Jane Stone Vintage Swallow Necklace I recently purchased from Enya Jewelry! These Fork-tailed Swallows were a popular design nearly 100 years ago (Roaring 20's, and also through the 1930's) during the Art Deco era. Art Deco was revived again in the 1960's. This necklace is a well designed and well constructed piece of costume jewelry that lays just right around my neck. It may be a bit overpowering for a petite lady (which I am not), yet for me it is perfect. One can wear it with an open necked top, or even under a collared blouse/shirt with the top buttons left undone to have it peeking through. It is a good focal piece while the statement necklaces are still so popular now. I think after that fad passes, this necklace will still be in style. Looking forward to wearing it this Spring, and especially this Summer with a tank top.

This wonderful piece was a gift for the holiday season. It came packaged nicely, and when I opened it it was certainly a substantial piece, which is something I was concerned about because the price seemed too good to be true.This would be a five star piece for me, but because it was a gift I asked the person I gave it to. They said it was beautiful, and everyone who saw her in it commented on it, but because the chain was so long to pull the piece up to an appropriate height she could feel the chain going well past her neck (the excess). Which to me isn't a big deal as I can remove extra links, but it was the only thing keeping me from giving it a 5-star!
