BluBlocker Viper Wraparound Sunglasses - Black

I have worked nights for the last 9 years, and I have always had difficulty sleeping during the day, to the point of taking sleep aids everytime I had to work. I would ALWAYS wake up groggy, tired, and felt like I was never fully rested. So recently, I was on Dr Oz's website looking for someting regarding sleep. I found an episode about sleep light therapy and wearing amber colored sunglasses to block the blue light of the sun. The blue light of sunshine suppresses the sleep hormone Melantonin, so I should wear the sunglasses on my way home to start Melatonin production so I'd be sleepy by the time I got home.So I went on the internet looking for amber colored sunglasses, came across several brands, including these on Amazon. I remember the commercials for these sunglasses. I purchased this version due to the wraparound coverage from the blue light of the sun. Well, It's been 2 weeks, and I haven't taken a sleep aid since using these glasses. I wear them about 1.5 hrs before I get off work so by the time I get home I'm yawning and ready for sleep. When I get home, I continue to wear them, not letting the blue light that is emitted by my television, iPhone, iPad, and regular light bulbs around the house shine in my eyes. I have learned that once blue light hits sensors in your eyes, Melatonin is suppressed. On days I don't have to work, and because I'm on my laptop, iPad, etc., I wear them about 1.5 hrs before I want to go to bed. I'm also one of those individuals with a televison in my bedroom, I do wear them to bed until I fall asleep. Not only have I not used a sleep aid in weeks, I also fall asleep within 10-15 minutes (I didn't even do that when I took a sleep aid, it would take minimum 1-2 hrs), also, I feel more rested. I have also changed out my bedroom light bulb for an orange bulb, thereby blocking out the blue light and stimulating Melatonin production as well. Now all I have to buy is an orange screen for my t.v., laptop, and maybe my iPad to block out the blue light from those devices before I go to bed.Needless to say, I love my BluBlockers. They are sturdy, well made, comfortable (I fall asleep with them on), and do a fabulous job of blocking out the blue light of sunshine and artificial light, aiding me in my quest for sleep. I think I need a spare pair.

Bought these for my partner, at his request. He'd had BluBlockers before and didn't like the other kinds that are similar nearly as well, so I got him these. He likes that they wrap around so that the sides of your eyes are also covered. They're stylish, as well. But it's the ability to really block UV rays and allow clearer viewing of the road on sunny days that are the real seller. We've tried several other kinds, but the BluBlockers really do work better for him.

Seeing is believing in these. I remember having a pair back in the day... when they first came out. Thought this might be a knock off and not as good. Boy, was I wrong. These glasses really crisp up the view during bright days or when the sun is directly in front. My eyes would always feel so strained at night after driving home... not any more after using these glasses. Honestly - Best sun glasses I ever owned

I've had several pairs of blublockers over the years and this is the second Viper pair. I like this design the best. My eyes seem to be extremely sensitive to bright sunlight. While wearing these, I can open my eyes completely and not have to squint. I like the wrap around design. First pair of Vipers I had took a lot of abuse and finally broke so I bought a new pair. Recommend them highly.

My Optometrist has said that my great eyesight at age 73 is in part because I wear my shades anytime it is daylight. But I wear these because they look great, feel good, and block the light from everywhere. I have worn the Blu-Block Viper for at least 9 years and keep at least 2 pair in reserve for the times I drop one or sit one. My last order was to replace the one I recently sat on. I also have a whole cupboard full of other Blu-Blockers in other styles which I purchased thru the years and no longer use since I fell for the Viper. Do you know if Blu-Blocker makes a Ski goggle? I would love to have a pair.

I have never tried blueblockers before but these are of excellent quality and I love the wraparound property. I haven't been using it for very long, but it seems to be helping me sleep quite a bit better!!

Unbelievable! Best sunglasses I have ever purchased. It is like the shade went up or the light went on or something...It takes a while to get used to them because the colors appear differently. However they are so much brighter and easier to see through than ordinary sunglasses. Instead of darkening everything, they have the opposite effect. Things look much brighter and clearer.Thank you so much. You have made my day brighter and my eyes feel so much better.

I've always liked the viper sun glasses, the only thing wrong with them is that the rubber on the ears catches my hair and pulls it out by strand. They are easy to brake.

Brilliant sunglasses. I've been wearing Blublockers for years but not this particular design. These are really comfortable and the added protection at the sides is great for side light flickering through trees. I haven't had a headache travelling in the car (which I always used to) since wearing Blublockers. One warning- they do change the colour of things since they screen out blue wavelengths of colour which can take a bit of getting used to.

I had some Blublockers around 7 years ago but lost them and then needed to wear glasses all the time so had prescription sunglasses made. Now I wear contact lenses, it was an opportunity to get another pair. They are fantastic, well made, and don't make the world 'dull' like other sunglasses, but equally cut out the glare from the sun. Would definitely recommend.

These are great for clocking out blue light and they do fit tight. However, I have to wear my normal spectacles over the top which pushes them tight onto my face (which is good for getting rid of any gaps where light could get in) which makes them steam up.

Wear these almost daily, so much so I have stopped wearing other previous faves, they are well made, I checked out lots of other similar ones but elected for these ones and reckon it was a great choice, they are great for driving too

They took a while to get used to but now I love them. I struggle with the PC, TV and bright sunlight due to ME but now I can watch TV and use the PC more often and enjoy sitting in the sunshine.
