Very heavy ...and large.... I love Sherpa and currently stay in a finished basement, which can get extremely chilly in either the winter or when the A/C is on in the summer...so I figured something that I could use as either a sweatshirt or a blanket would be used quite a bit .... Haven't needed it since I got it, but I'm sure it'll come in handy soon ..

I've had thinner and thicker of these and I'd say this is medium weight. Very soft and perfect for my son. I washed and dried it on hot and it came out like new with hardly any lint at all.
