The lock is a combination of good idea and bad production. The metal of the latch is extremely week for its function. Being hit in perpendicular direction (e.g. by occasional door closer work or early door opening while the door is locked) the lock is easily get damaged. The latch easily becomes curve, this leads to the loss of its ability to go back into the corps of the lock body from the door frame. In such occasion the only option to open the lock is to disassemble it or extract by force with potential loss of the door as a result

I bought this lock for my house prior to turning it into an Airbnb. The property manager insisted we buy a Schlage for the door so we used it for the garage entry door instead. I can’t tell you how many times we had to let someone in through the garage because the ultraloq worked and the Schlage didn’t. When we finally sold and installed the lock in our brand new home, something had finally failed in the battery compartment. Ultraloq sent us a replacement quickly and we are right as rain again! Having used 3 different brands of automatic lock, this is the best one by a mile. Especially since the Schlage is 3x the price.

I've 2 lock From Ultraloq or U-Tec, the 1st one is the U-Bolt with bridge (No fingerprint reader)I do not have any issue with. Robust and Good product. The only DownSide is there is no Home Assistant integration.The Second Lock I Got is the Pro Serie Wifi with fingerPrint reader. Took about a half hour to install (had to chisel for the cover plates), super easy. The largest issue was getting the code from ULok to create the account. once completed the lock setup was VERY easy. inclusion into Home Assistant- had to include twice but second time was the charm and have not looked back. I can lock/unlock/check logs from Home Assistant. I do have a metal door so the door 'closed' sensor does not work (as the instructions say it wouldn't with steel). So VERY please. Use the Zooz 700 Series Z-Wave Plus Open|Close XS Sensor ZSE41 to determine door open/close on a steel door. I disabled the auto lock and using automations I now lock/unlock the door only when closed (using zse41) and even have it retract the bolt if open and someone extends the bolt. very cool.

This product comes with 2 door entry keys which can be used as a last resort in the event a code entered or fingerprint recognition does not work. I needed 4 extra keys (family member, gardener, cleaners and a spare). One Locksmith said in his opinion the key was unusual but if I gave him 4 blanks with the correct length for the key he could cut them for me. I told this company what I had been told and requested either 4 keys or 4 blanks which I was happy to pay for. Customer Services sent a detailed picture of the mechanical lock and the make of key required. I gave this information to the Locksmith who produced/cut 4 spare keys for me. Great customer services from this company.
