Timberland is going downhill
Speaking as someone who has been buying Timberland for over twenty-five years, if these are genuine Timberland boots, they did not impress me at all. They looked cheap, and flat laces are a no no for hiking boots because you cannot tighten them up properly. The soles and the leather looked cheap, and the toe cap was weakly structured. Definitely not worth the money.

THESE ARE THE BOOTS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
These boots are incredibly comfy, fit perfectly, 100% waterproof, sturdy construction and look the part. With occasional cleaning and re-waterproofing I can see them lasting years to come, if you've been searching for a pair of reliable leather walking boots I urge you to look no further. I even ordered a few different pairs of Timberlands specifically to compare them side-by-side, but the Keele Ridge are made of slightly thinner leather, so while they mightn't be *quite* as toasty as some alternatives, I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Lovely boot
What a lovely boot for the price, I am actually a 7 1/2 - 8 I purchased an 8 and with a thick sock on they are perfect, I could even get a thin and thick sock on in them for hiking, however if you are an actual 8 And want to use them for winter hiking a 9 may suit better for 1 thin sock and two thick socks ( depending on what you are doing) for actual walking youd probably be ok with 1 thin sock and one thick, where as for snow and Ice climbing your feet may get a little chilly, other than that they are very nice and extremely good quality for the moneyN.b I used boot oil to treat them when I decided to keep them, it moisturisers the boots and waterproofs them ... niviea for boots lolUsing them this weekend to go up snowdon will let you know afterwards how they did

Disappointing
Overall disappointed, not with the product but with the lack of authentic packaging. This was a present and it was disappointing to say the least to have the boots wrapped not in their original packaging but looking like something that had come from Woolworths. If you buy Timberland boots you expect them to come in Timberland packaging and not looking like they have just come from the local charity shop!

Comfortable, lightweight but warm.
Bought for my husband to replace a pair of well loved but worn-out favourites that he uses for casual wear. He likes these just as much. Initially he thought they were slightly too narrow but eased after a few days wear round the house. They are lightweight but feel substantial. They look well constructed and appear easy to care for but time will tell. They look smart enough for casual wear / everyday use under a pair of jeans. He has worn them outdoors on a few occasions now for 2/3 hours at a time and says they are warm, comfortable and have a good grip on wet surfaces.

Nice boot, but get the larger size
My feet are normally a broad size 8 but these boots were unwearable in that size. I returned them for a UK 8.5 (EU 43), but even then, you might want to consider going a whole size larger than normal if you want to wear thick socks. They are nice lightweight boots and I'm glad I bought them.
