This basket fits amazing on the kamado joe classic. It is very thick metal and not flimsy like some. This is also quite a bit cheaper than kamado joes fire basket. Get this! Super easy to clean and performs like a charm!

Didn’t want to spend $120 for the original KJ basket and this thing fits mit Classic II just fine.Not sure what issue some others had, but all I can say is buy it.Quality and sturdiness seems to be excellent.

Had a different basket and I had to cut off some loops to make it fit. This one fits perfectly and you can hook up to your divide and conquer rack.

Just got a Kamado Joe Classic and this charcoal basket was recommended by my friend. It does what it supposed to for a lot less.I used it for the initial burn and I am totally happy that I went with this. Fits perfectly with other accessories as well. I will use the savings to get a soapstone to sear my steaks.

The bottom part of it is too big to sit where the original plate sits and the top hooks don't let the heat deflectors sit flat. It probably works on other grills but not Kamado Joe Classic II. I returned it and ordered a different brand which fits great just not as sturdy as this one.If you don't care about the distance between the charcoal and what you grill, and you don't use the heat deflectors on the bottom part you can use it.
