I have an east-facing window with direct "searing" morning sunlight that also contributes to solar heating of a small enclosed porch. Because this window has a beautiful view to the outside, I really hated to install blinds or curtains. I tried a traditional round umbrella, and it provided no real shade. However, THIS 9 ft half-umbrella in a beautiful shade of blue is a GAME CHANGER!! The umbrella pole is easy to assemble/disassemble, measuring 1.5 inches in diameter, with a solid fit in the base. The crank feature, rather than push up, is fantastic, allowing me to fully or partially extend for the sun angle. In addition to providing awesome shade from the sun, it looks great on the deck. The umbrella also helps to reduce the amount of solar heating in the porch, and it doesn't hide the view from the window. This umbrella is well made and a great deal. (I saw similar models online 2 an 3 times this price.) Even if I'm not outside, I am definitely enjoying this umbrella every morning!!

It’s exactly what we needed. It’s well made and sturdy. The crank works well and the umbrella opens smoothly and stays open. I got the teal and the color is beautiful. It doesn’t have a strap to hold it closed when it’s down, so that’s my only complaint. We’ve only had it for about a week so I don’t know how the color will hold up. The fabric provides good shade in a very sunny area. Price was great and I think I’ll get a second one soon.

I bought this for my patio door. Perfect for when you want shade but don’t want to commit to a full umbrella relationship. It does exactly what it promises—blocks the sun, saves my patio from becoming a frying pan, and looks surprisingly stylish doing it. Easy to set up, sturdy enough for normal breezes, and great for small spaces. My sunburns officially disapprove.

Got this to replace the old one that its fabric got worn out from the L.A. sun and strong winds. Lasted 3.5 years. This one I just got, I noticed the fabric is much thinner which concerns me of durability. The pole and the skull is very durable. Very reasonable price. Nice color. It lost a star because of the fabric thinness.

These umbrellas are amazing!! They are the perfect addition to the front of the Cafè and provide excellent shade for our tables. The flat back allows them to fit comfortably against the windows. We love them!!

It is well-made. The color is vibrant. I found a half-moon holder separately. It fits between our sofa and fence, but I only wish it were adjustable up and down because it is a little taller than our fence. I also wish it would tilt side to side to deal with the late afternoon sun.

This umbrella has filled the bill for me. I needed a small umbrella to shade plants against an outdoor shed, and this worked perfectly in conjunction with the semicircle weighted base. I’ve had it for over a year in the desert sun and it still looks good. It has also withstood occasional high wind events.
