Versatile photo editing package.
There are free apps that are aimed at amature photographers with experience of the editing process. This has the advantage of still catering for them but also novices. The wizard style assistance does a good job getting pleasing results. The advanced route enables fine tuning if needed.Try the trial package before buying.

Amazon Software Deals Best way to get these simple editing tools for the amateur
Been using Photoshop since the late 1990s at least and as it's got more sophisticated I've needed less and less of it's cutting edge technology as I'm mostly reproducing rather than manipulating my images. Since I bought an Olympus ES-10 in 2004, I've mostly been trying to digitise my library of 1980s-2008 film and slide photos. Photoshop's CS subscription model doesn't suit my use case so since 2012, I've been using versions of elements for basic image processing. Amazon's occasional deals mean I can get an updated (helpful for CameraRaw with updating my DSLRs) version of PSE and Premier E for roughly 1/2 retail every five years which is perfect and much more palatable that the annual subscription for CS which is way too powerful for my needs.

The download instructions are inadequate
I have yet to get to grips with the product but the Amazon instructions were misleading. The online chat was poor I was active with them for over an hour having to repeat the same information all without success. The audio help did not call back. I eventually downloaded it so must conclude it was my lack of IT knowledge but I would have expected some help.

Elements Fails to execute from Main Welcome Screen
Photoshop & Premier 'Elements' package: The Photoshop editor functioned correctly but the Premier editor failed to open and disappeared from the loading screen when trying to initialise 'ImporterQuicktime.prm'Removing/re-installing the software didn't work. I got it to open by locating the specific Elements editor .exe file and creating an 'open as administrator' shortcut on my PC desktop. Trying to run Premier Elements from the default main greetings screen just never worked at all...

Rubbish download
I have found this download impossible to complete. The box download to software library doesn't exist and as a consequence there is nowhere to download the order. I have spent a couple of hours on this and will now try to contact amazon for a refund. Some chance.
