Back to the Batcave!
I'm in my late fifties and I bought this set for my younger self. I was a young boy back in the 1960s when Adam West's Batman first appeared on our television screens here in the U.K. My only Bat-toys at the time were Corgi's die-cast Batmobile and a Cherilea Batman from Woolworths that was a far cry from the action figures of today (special feature: his head came off!). How I longed for a Batcave to put them in, but the best I could do at the time was an old cardboard box with a hole cut in the front. So the moment I saw the McFarlane Batcave playset I had to have it.Is it any good? You bet it is - it's wonderful. Once you've got everything out of the box (and I do take my toys out of their boxes as, at my age, I'm going to be in a box myself soon enough), and set it up, it really looks like the Batcave as seen on TV. Bright and colourful with lots of computer banks ready to spring into crime-fighting action. The only criticism I have is a very mild one, and that is that the Bat-poles are a little too thin. I'd be wary of letting your kids or grandkids play with the set as the poles and some of the rails and ladder look like they might snap easily.I've got my Batcave on display in my Mancave now, and with it inhabited by some previously purchased Batman and Robin action figures and Batmobile, I can relive in my imagination some of the scenes from the old TV show. I'm actually using the Mattel figures from a couple of years ago because the McFarlane ones are ridiculously expensive to buy over here (possibly due to current import fees, I don't know). The Mattel toys are the right scale for the McFarlane set so that's not a problem. Now, if only McFarlane could produce the other playset that I longed for as a boy in the 1960s - The Time Tunnel - I'm sure it would be a far cry from my Grandpa's empty cigar tin that I used to use as my Project Tic-Toc set back in the day. Ah well, I can dream.

Folds up!
I wondered if this would be any good but I am pleased! It folds up on itself. You get the atomic Pile power source and lots of "Bat" computers too! There is a circular turntable plate for the Batmobile (it does not turn) and I've put the Mezo Toys background Batcave with it which looks brilliant (although I say it myself). Worth the money!
