Incredibly useful and interesting book
Incredibly useful and interesting book, especially for a beginner level millwright! I'm the sole maintenance person at a grain elevator where we store, process, package and ship soybeans, so I work on everything from old and new grain processing equipment to air compressors to robotic/pneumatic packaging equipment, and this books covers that range. As I'm learning on the job, this book is exactly what I needed and is perfect to read while I'm getting the practical experience. I imagine it would still have a lot to offer someone with years of related experience, given the range and depth it covers. I've found through asking a million questions of every coworker with any mechanical knowledge and every contractor I work with, that a lot of people may know how to make things work but not always why they work that way, so if you have interest in that this book is also useful for that.

Must have for someone learning the trade.
I have been a industrial mechanic for over 8 years, and one thing you learn, is no matter how much you know, you don't know anything in the grand scheme of things. Learning that is the single most important thing you can do, as being over confident in your abilities, and being a "know it all" will bite you eventually. Saying that, this book helps you fill in those gaps, makes you a better mechanic, and gives you TONS of information in a well written package. If you are just getting into the trade, or a 20 year vet, this book will have something for you. Some of the guys I work with have older revisions of this book, use it all the time, and have over 30 years in the company, it really is that useful. So to summarize, never believe you have nothing else to learn, and pick up this book to round out your resources. You wont regret it.

Ok Book
Good book to refresh and reference sometimes, but could include more. I feel it left some areas a little too vague.

Audel Millwright's & Mechanics Guide
This is a terrific book. I used it as a mechanical maintenance student in tech school. Since then I have referred to it often as a maintenance tech. I work in a chemical plant and am responsible for a wide variety of equipment. I have found a lot of help in "remembering" how to set or adjust much of it. There is so much information in this book that is valuable to most any maintenance mechanic or millwright. I recommend this book as a learning tool or reference for either job skill.

Another great Audel publication.
Excellent book. So much useful information for a mechanical trades person or hobby shop owner. It is also a handy size to store in a tool box or on a shelf in the shop. A nice, perhaps unintended feature, is the cover has a shiny finish which allows wiping off greasy fingerprints.
