CX Integrated Brake and Shifter Set 2x10 Shimano Road for Short Pull

These definitely do work. The friction shifting on the front is a dream. It shifts my 44-32-22 triple with zero problems. I really, really like the front shifting. I don't like the indexed rear shifting though. I had to crank the screw down on the shift lever to get it to hold enough tension for my rear derailleur. This obviously makes shifting a lot stiffer on the back, and I shift a lot in the back since I ride mostly on undulating terrain. After a little while my hand gets a bit tired. That will get better with time, but still, your hand shouldn't be tired due to shifting. Friction mode is a bit better, but I have more unexpected shifts which has nearly caused me to crash a few times. If you need a super reliable shifter and you don't need to run a ton of cable tension, these fit the bill. I have had a better experience with Shimano 105 brifters. Except for that glorious front friction shifting. So good. I may end up replacing my right shifter and keeping the friction left.
