Superior Threads Tenara HTR 138 White Outdoor Sewing Thread

Heavy duty stuff. Sometimes a little hard to work through the sewing machine, even a commercial one. Seems to need a little lubricant to keep it flowing through the needle. Otherwise damn good stuff, although we won’t know for sure for another 10 years.

I purchased this thread to resew sunbrella material on my boat. I read the product sheet on the thread and purchased the #20 needle recommended by the manufacturer. When the canvas shop tried to use the thread, it kept bunching up and making a big mess. A lot of time was spent adjusting tension on the thread without success. Long story short, I spent a lot of money on expensive thread, the recommended needle and it did not work. The canvas shop was willing to try anything to make this stuff work but were out of ideas.
