Q: I love the looks of this! i am sure my 3 kitties will like it, too. but--is it washable (by hand, or machine delicate, shaped to dry)?

I've felted a few items. The key to felting is Heat, Agitation, and Soap. Whatever you do DO NOT USE HOT WATER or a HOT DRYER!It will SHRINK! You can probably hand wash these in a cool to mildly warm water using a wool cleaner such as Woolite. Stuffing it w/ newspaper, bubble wrap whatever will help to retain the shape as it dries. You can also mold it a bit with your hands as it dries if it puckers etc.... As you would to block a wool sweater. your hands as it is drying.

Q: What is the opening diameter? I have a big headed, fat cat.

Hi! Friendsheep Eco Kitty Caves are sized extra large which is great for big cats and moms with litters. They measure approximately 20" in diameter and have an entrance of approximately 7.5 inches (between 7" and 8"). They are hand made so every item can have a slight variation in size.

Q: Is it machine washable ?

The leaflet that came with the product states it is NOT machine washable. It states to hand wash with cool water and a soft sponge. Air dry only, no dryers. Hope this helped

Hi! Thank you for your question. The Eco Kitty Cave is hand made with 100% New Zealand wool and it is about 1/4" thick.
