Q: Is the wall mount bracket metal or wood and how does it connect to the shelf?

The bracket is not metal. It is solid wood not particle board. The bracket is mounted to the wall then the console rests on it (recessed lip on bracket and metal hangers on console).

Q: What are the inner dimensions of the cubbies?

There are three equal compartments the measurements are 6 5/8 high 18 1/2 wide and 10 1/2 inches deep hope this helps you out

Q: Is this made out of real wood

No it is not made out of real wood; laminate. But it is well made and goes together fairly easy. I had to enlarge a couple of screw holes.

Q: How much weight can it support?

I wouldn’t put anymore then 50lbs on it. I mounted into studs but it’s not meant to hold hundreds of pounds of weight.
