Oriental Furniture 12" Celadon Porcelain Fishbowl

I was so happy when I came across this I originally had place an order with Wayfair and it wasn't exactly what I wanted due to unfortunate circumstances they delivered the wrong item twice a simple flower pot. I was so disapointed with my experience I started looking on Amazon, not only found what I was looking for but got it in a timely manner and it was exactly what I was looking for. I am so please and received plenty of comments from my family members.

The quality is so great, just a little bit short.

I am thrilled to have found the perfect celadon color. Very elegant. Now I want another one!

Ordered the planter and received two days later. Picked the box up from my porch and heard it completely shattered go pieces. Refuse to open the box. Returning and asking for a replacement. Hopefully the replacement won't be turned to dust as well.

I bought one of these planters in August 2022. It wasn't the color pictured, but I wound up keeping it despite being disappointed that it wasn't what was pictured online. I used it anyway, and since we've now moved to a different house, I have a different location for the planter, and wanted a second one to match.My experience with that purchase is completely different from the first purchase. I'm leaving my 2022 review below and adding to it.August 2022:Like most planters from Oriental Furniture that I've purchased it's good quality. However, it's not anything like the color that's pictured on Amazon. The stock photo does in fact show a celadon green "fishbowl" style planter, but the one I received is a deep, more vibrant green. Celadon is a soft green with blue/gray, cool undertones. Mine is a much more intense color with warm undertones. I'd return it, because for the price, I feel like I should get what I wanted, but I'm staging a house and really needed a planter. The one I received won't compliment the home's decor the way the celadon pot would have, but I don't have the time to return and try again or shop elsewhere, so I'm kind of stuck. I gave a two star rating because it's a nice quality item so I bumped it up a bit, but I feel like when you don't get what you ordered (when you don't get what's pictured) that's a complete bomb.November 2023:A little more than a year after my initial purchase I decided I wanted another planter to match the first one. I wasn't sure what color I'd be receiving, since the first pot doesn't match the stock photo, but I thought I'd take a chance on it, and potentially have to return if the new planter wasn't a good match for the one I already own. To my surprise and delight, the second planter is actually a pretty good color match on the first one. The first photo in this review is my initial purchase. The following three photos are from my second purchase. They actually match better, in person, than the photos would have you believe. (I assume this is due to different lighting in the photos.) Aside from that though, I'm not happy with this purchase. The color and glaze is uneven in a couple places on the planter. There are several lumps/protrusions on the outside of the pot, and there's one horizontal line about a half inch from the bottom of the pot. If this planter had just one of those defects, I'd turn the defect towards the wall and be done with it, but since there are multiple defects on the pot, I can't hide them all. I feel like I got a "second" or "irregular" product, but paid for a first quality item. I wanted to exchange it for another since the quality on my August 2022 purchase was good (despite the color), but there is no easy way to go about doing that on the Amazon website, so I'm just going to return it and buy another. Also worth noting, the second planter that I received is slightly smaller than the first one I bought last year. It's about a half inch shorter and the diameter is a bit smaller. I had actually looked up my August 2022 order, and clicked "Buy Again" and made sure I was purchasing another 12" Celadon Porcelain Fishbowl. Both planters are of that description, but they are not the same size. The size difference is not enough to deter me from buying an additional planter. My two planters will be in the same room but not right next to each other, so it's not a show stopper for me that they are not exactly the same size, but I thought this might matter to someone if they wanted them to be identical. Typically, I love Oriental Furniture products, but the quality of this planter is really substandard!
