Great mat, tricky with the harder modes
Good Mat, I've had it for months with out any problems of damage and it breaking. The only thing that is annoying is taking it out of the packaging and using it for the first time (The buttons are a little off because they've been folded together for a while, After a few uses there should be no problems)When starting to use the mat frequently, It may get a little slippery when you get into the harder modes (I had played on expert and the top layer of the mat slipped, I almost fell on my face. The mat can be tricky for the harder levels, standard, basic and beginner should be fine)Would recommend for DDR players.

As an experienced player who has been in love with the Dance Dance Revolution series since the beginning
Ordered this product and got it within the week. As an experienced player who has been in love with the Dance Dance Revolution series since the beginning, this has surpassed my expectations. It arrived neatly in a box with no damage anywhere on the product. Colorful and with that new product smell, it works perfectly if not better than the original mats that came with the game.

A Standard Review for Dance Dance Revolution Flash Pad
For some reason, with the email demands being made by Amazon.com, I feel the need to clarify the star ratings I have given to the Dance Dance Revolution Flash Pad, even though I simply wanted to drop by, leave a star rating, and continue onto something else.Anyway, onto clarification. The toy, from what I have seen, brings about much enjoyment, but nothing revolutionary. There's a lot of jumping around and the memorizing of techno pop songs, however none of these songs contain math problems or history lessons. Yet, there must be something said for the hand to eye... or rather eye to foot coordination going on.The toys purpose is to be jumped around on, therefore it is probably made to withstand this. I don't want to sound cynical, but the business side of me asks, "for how long."Overall, the toy did what it was intended to do, provide hours of ludicrous fun dancing and jumping around. On a further note, it was a gift for a college graduate, so I wasn't too concerned with its educational impact.

Great fun, great workout
Ol' Grandma just loves this game. I play it only in practice mode and at the slowest speed, so no scoring and as many repeats or song changes as I want without hassle, essentially fun dance steps with little interruption. Also, mostly one step at a time vs. tangling up my feet. There is a great variety in tempo, rhythm, and challenge which keeps the game fresh all winter when outside exercise is out of the question. Our younger visitors like to rev things up and move their feet in a blur -- they love it, too. The screen is very easy to follow, much better (in my opinion) than the step dancing on Wii Fit. Very good workout.

Decent but not ideal for hardcore players
Overall it's a decent pad, not great but not terrible. It's a good one to start with if you're just learning to play and don't want to drop money on a more expensive pad, but if you're a regular or hardcore player you should probably pass. I can't say how durable it is as I haven't used it much though, so I couldn't tell you how long it will last. While it looks identical to the official pad the material is somewhat cheaper. Instead of the sleek plastic on the official pad it's a cheaper material, very much like a vinyl shower curtain. It also lacks the texture of the official model (the thin raised lines). While it didn't slide around much more than the official ps2 pad it tends to bunch up a lot on heavy difficulty. As for the arrows they seem to work well, I've had no problems with faulty contacts so far.Pros: Low price, good starter padCons: Cheap material, bunches up on heavy difficulty
