Does it have 1600 or 1200 watts? SS401 model on Ninja page says it is 1200; is watt and peak watt different?

It is a 1200 watt motor with the capability of 1600 Peak watts... Peak watts are short burst watts... I imagine that is how it powers through the higher resistance points as the description describes...

Does the ss401 actually finely chop veggies (say an onion) or does it only shred? I'm looking for something to replace my automatic food chopper

It will do both...the shread attachment will shread and the regular blender blade will chop..but you have to be careful and pulse quickly or it will chop everything super small.. I also bought this to replace my blender and food processor and I have ZERO regreat..in fact Im kind of wondering where this magical thing has been all my life.

Can I get an adjustable slicing disk for this? I would love to be able to change the thickness of the slices
