Almost exact replica of OEM Whaler
Looks great and same size as OEM in my Whaler. The wiring seemed backwards to me though, the negative side goes from battery terminal to fuse and load side grounds the leds and goes back to the pump. Positive from battery to center post of spdt and each side to pump (man) and float switch (auto). I’m happy with how it turned out so far, we’ll see how durable in a bay boat.

Works great
Product works perfectly.Hooked it up to the bilge pump per instructions. When you switch to manual, red light comes on and so does pump. When you put it on auto, the green light is on and when the float activates, the green light stays on and the red light comes on as well to let you know the bilge pump is on.Should be very easy to keep track of bilge from now on.

Instructions are quite confusing
as previously stated by others, the instructions are quite confusing and after installing the wiring for auto/manual was backwards. I had to switch to manual/auto wires to work correctly. Circuit beaker on Neg side? Why? Also NO TEMPLATE included in package. The card in photo was bigger then the switch. I needed create my own template . I gave it one star for installation because of the POOR instructions. Otherwise installation was fairly easy

Nice unit
I just got this hooked up today. As stated in another review, the manual versus auto diagram for wiring is backwards. Just make sure to hook the auto side of your pump to the right side of the switch as you face it.I originally thought the button covered in translucent plastic on the right was a master switch, but is actually the breaker reset. Nice to not have to carry an extra fuse. The short leads really didn't bother me as I was hooking up the switch 15 feet away from my pump. They are long enough to solder and put some heat shrink around.Would be nice if they offered this in a vertical configuration, as one other manufacturers does, but a minor point really.

This isn't terribly difficult as it doesn't have to be a perfect ...
Exactly as advertised. Some people are commenting that the wiring was difficult but this isn't the manufacturers fault. At the end of the day it takes some wires to run a bilge pump and there is no clearer way for them to make this switch. You should have some electrical knowledge and if you don't, hire someone that does. You will need to cut a hole into whatever you're mounting this against. This isn't terribly difficult as it doesn't have to be a perfect hole, just enough to fit the switches through. The face plate on the front will cover up an imperfect hole.I mounted it by drilling a 3/4 inch hole followed by using a jigsaw to cut out the rectangular shape. Pop the 4 screws in and you're set. There are a few incorrect reviews complaining about the breaker being on the negative side stating that the breaker won't work. That's completely incorrect, a fuse on the negative side of a DC current works just fine. In fact, current electrical theory is that electrons flow from negative to positive. The breaker on a negative side will actually respond faster in theory. In this case the purpose of the breaker isn't to protect the wiring from a short, you should have a fuse elsewhere doing that. It's to protect the bilge pump motor and circuit incase the bilge pump fails (jammed impeller) which would increase the current to a dangerous level.

Good but far from perfect
I like to write constructive helpful reviews so i hope this helps any prospective buyer. The unit is nicely made in aluminum, however whoever put the protective film on really didnt think about how the hell you are supposed to get it off, in fact you have to loosen all the switches and led's to have any chance of that. The LED indicators although nice, they do draw current and after some testing I found that if you leave the switch on auto and don't return to your boat for weeks, you will have a flat battery using LEDs with resistors in this type of application isn't a good idea.I fitted a mini toggle switch to turn off the LEDs when i leave the boat for any considerable time.As mentioned by others, soldering the spade connectors, not the brightest of ideas also, I also siliconed the resistors to stop them being shaken by the boat and shorting out the positive and negative lines as they are just to close.Would love to give 5 stars but too many design flaws, having said that, theres not much else out there, even expensive ones are only cheap ones rebranded and rebadged.

Easy to wire.
Great way to provide an automatic and manual funtion to the bilge pump. Don't like that the circuit breaker is on the negative side but it will still trip should I get an over current condition.

Great customer service
Wow! I had trouble after installing it understanding why both lights would come on so emailed the customer service and got an immediate and on going replies - they were great to work with. The wiring on it is as others have mentioned, is reversed. Manual and auto mode are actually the reverse of what the direction say as it is wired backward. Having read the reviews that mentioned this I wired it so the manual and auto work!! Very pleased with myself as I am a nube at this and it works yay :) oh, and the reason both lights came on was because I had it in auto mode when I tested the bilge pump by activating it manually on the pump itself. doh...
