Exceptionally Easy Installation
The media could not be loaded. This fan works perfectly for my application. After prepping the rough opening, it took about 30 minutes to install. The most important advise I can offer is that when doing the rough in that you cut your opening to the specs for you particular model as per the instruction manual. If the opening is too tight it may cause the louvers to bind up and not close properly. I mounted mine from the inside so that the louvers would be flush on the outside of the building. I chose to purchase and use the ILG8SFRC Exhaust Fan Remote Control Kit. it has a built in variable speed control, temp control setting, and humidistat. Very convenient to be able to control operation from a very advanced remote. I'll include a short video on simple installation. Note: a pigtail for the fan is included with the remote control kit (sold separately).Update: install complete with remote control. Excellent product. Simple install and eliminates the need for separate humidistat, temp, and speed control.

Great fan and good value
I got this fan to keep my 8 X10 garden shed cool. So far it has worked perfectly. It was easy to install and it really moves the air. It has a thermostat and three speeds. I am very happy with its performance and it is a decent price for such a solid fan. I had tried solar fans before and they did not work. This fan plugs in and it goes. It has baffles to keep bugs out as well. I give it five stars.

Decent quality materials and manufacture. Highly recommend it.
I use this exhaust fan to ventilate a small barn in the back yard where I keep all my yard equipment. The barn is 12 x 16 with 8 foot walls and a gable roof. In the past, I have had a problem with white mold forming on some of the wood stored in the barn, but no more. I have the fan on a timer and it runs about 6 hours a day. We get a lot of rain and even though the barn floor is elevated above the ground about a foot, mold would form during periods of wet weather. The fan seems to take care of the issue. The fan is mounted just above floor level to pull cool damp air out of the barn and let warmer dry air come in through the roof vents. The fan is well built, quiet, of surprisingly good quality with a shutter system that actually works.

Yes it will work in a horizontal position. It is inexpensive not ‘ cheap’
Has UlL listing stickers, the ‘fan only’ unit I got had no cord, It seems pretty well crafted, but boy is that wiring compartment is darn small., getting the ground screw loosened in the bottom was a pain. I dunno what size screw it was neither any metric nor inch size nut driver I had would fit. But when fired up it, ran great , pretty powerful for a. 10inch fan. Yeah, I’d buy it again. My application needed to be installed in a horizontal position and the louvers popped right open. So it will work.Update April ‘22- got a second one to air out garage. Interestingly, the size of the wiring compartment has been enlarged., ground screw install was effortless. . Is someone reading my reviews & responding accordingly.? I appears so. Also the lovers have a blue plastic coating, apparently to seal better when closed. So I’m upping to 5 stars. As I said it’s powerful, quiet no vibration, well built. I like to buy USA made products which it is not, but the quality of this build could go up against anyone. It is nice to see a company take pride in the products and make something sturdy, as well as improve quality. Nice going iLiving!

So far so good. Bought this to air out my cellar
So far so good. Bought this to air out my cellar. Built a frame to mount it, removed an existing cellar window and put this in it's place and so far it is working like a champ. I bought Cable Matters (2-Pack) Heavy Duty AC Power Extension Cord in 15 Feet (NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R) and cut the receptor end off to wire it to the fan. I also got Century 24 Hour Plug-in Mechanical Timer Grounded so I could program the fan to run for a bit then shut down for a bit. Everything is working great and it has helped the smell in the cellar tremendously. My cellar and crawlspace is approx. 500-600 square feet I'd guess, unfinished. The only thing about the fan is the louver blades will not completely close when it shuts off. I've loosened the screws just a smidge and I also put some lubricant on all the moving parts but it still won't completely close. Not a big deal as of now because I have it programmed to run 45 off 15 24/7. And the natural vacuum you get when opening an exterior door pulls it closed if the fan is off at that particular time. The construction of the fan seems to be solid as well, it's all galvanized so it should hold up to any weather it'll encounter.

Great vent fan and ez install
With a west facing metal garage door heated my garage to 120 degrees. Install this fan in my garage wall and temp dropped 25 degrees! Wish I had done sooner! Like the 3 speeds and thermostat control! It's very well made!

Perfect Replacement for the old vent fan
The Horsepower is good, quality of the housing and switches are good, weight of the metal tells you it is sturdy. Fit is great and conforms to the measurements described in the listing. Nice deal and dependable product that moves the air through my garage.

Not lifetime lubricated
I really liked this fan and it worked great right up until it didn't. The other day I heard a squealing noise coming from the shed. When I went to see what it was I found the fan was making a terrible noise like the bearings were running dry. I went to get some spray lubricant from the shop, but when I got back the fan was locked up and would no longer spin. It went from no issues to not working in a matter of minutes.
