Great for curly hair
I've been a daily hair washer my whole life, and struggled to get those in between days without grease and build up. I've been trying to find better ways to care for my hair (medium thickness, curly/wavy, color treated) as I move into my mid thirties and struggle with thickness and volume as well as definition in my curls. I heard about cowashes and while super expensive products were recommended, I couldn't afford $50+ products and found this in a reddit thread. I've been using it for about 2 weeks, and can use it 3-4 days straight while using a clarifying shampoo on the 4th or 5th day. I can say it's been a learning curve but I love how my hair feels and feel like it's been really helping the movement, how my curls clump, and best of all doesn't make my hair feel greasy or dried out. You might end up spending more time working the product in your hair and scalp than you would usually shampooing but it evens out since you're skipping the conditioner. I love the smell and it rinses out well. In terms of value, I'm almost through this bottle and it's been less than a month but it's literally 1/5th or the price of competitor products like New Wash and I love that it's cruelty free and does the job.

Great co-wash
First time using a Co-wash and I love it! My straight hair has become frizzy and wavy with age and I had no idea how to manage it. After reading about curly/wavy routines I decided to try the mixed chicks co-wash expecting it to leave my thin blonde hair too greasy & weighed down but surprisingly it cleaned my scalp but moisturized the frizzy lengths, even after a sweaty workout. I'm hoping with continued use it will help my waves look a little nicer.

Finally
No one in my family has curly hair except for me. We didn't know diddly about curly hair when I was little. My just always brushed my hair out and as those of you know makes nothing but a frizzy mess. Talk about a "bad hair day" no no, for me it's a bad hair life. My hair goes every which direction as soon as it's dry. I don't have the most beautiful round shaped head so when I straighten it out it just looks weird. It grows super slow so I can't rely on gravity to weigh it down. I don't have much to work with but man it's an ugly mess. Anyway I recently ran out of options (I bleach and dye it all kinds of colors all the time)and then remembered that I had curly hair and heard the phrase and NOT FROM MY OWN MOTHERS voice randomly one sunny afternoon say all nonchalant " you have to use a defuser and blow dry ot upside down" so I did that and my god of it weren't for having the worst self cut I've ever had I would have gone to every store I could think of showing it off cuz I had some really awesome curls no one ever told me about. So long story short this curly world is brand new to me but I know this much and that's what I can live without and that's every single shampoo in the entire galaxy. Not a single brand, not a single scent would I trade for this shampoo. This one is the one that makes the hair work. I love it I love it like it's my sister. And that's the truth. Thank you thank you thank you finally thank you so much. Oh yeah, can't live without it, nope. <3<3<3 it relaxes all the frizz, it juices up the spring back, it adds lots of luscious luster and also "keeps em separated". THANK YOU! 🙏

Glad our normal stuff was retired…
We couldn't get the Miss Jessie’s co-wash anymore, so had to find something new and decided on this. We were blown away by the way our kids’ hair just relaxed without losing curliness. Their hair is so soft and curls well-defined - no longer finding matted patches of hair that we’d eventually have to cut out. Cant wait to try more products from Mixed Chicks to cover the rest of their hair regimen and continue to improve the health of their mixed hair. Use on 3B and 3C curl patterns. No lather. Immediate results. Nice scent but light, so not dominating your sense of smell all day. Use 2-3 times a week, including after weekly full shampoo wash.

Not a great smell
It does a pretty good job cleaning my hair, but it's got this sort of industrial/utilitarian smell to it that is not my idea of a good time. I also managed to get a tiny amount in my eye by opening the cap, and man, that stuff stings.

Good for non-shampoo days
I need to wet my curls each morning and this is great to spread out shampoo days. It's creamy and feels moisturizing.

Love at first wash!
Love this co-wash! It isn’t too heavy, cleanses my hair very well, and still leaves my hair feeling moisturized.

I'd read about co-wash but wasn't really sure I wanted to buy a full size product. This Mixed Chicks tube is the perfect size to try for the first time or for travel use. I really enjoyed using the product, it left my short, fine hair clean & soft.

I love this co wash and find it leaves my hair feeling super clean and soft. I’m trying to follow the CG method and this is one of the best products I’ve found for my protein sensitive hair. The only thing that bothered me about it is that the price has gone up by £4 since the last time I bought some so I’ve had to shop around to find it elsewhere at a more reasonable price. It is certainly still a lot more than I used to pay for conditioners and shampoos full of stuff that was clearly bad for my hair but my hair has not felt this soft in years so I reckon it’s worth it.

Only used once so far but it left my hair soft, shiny & clean without an overwashed feeling.

I was so looking forward to using this my hair is so annoying and most things upset it I was prepared for the no foam as most medical soaps don't foam but my hair just did not like it it felt like I'd used a cheap 2in 1 and was super static with an itchy scalp/neck back I'm sure it's great just not for my over sensitive hair and skin However the package is great and using it was nice enough don't let me put you off

Looking for a replacement for overpriced Hairstory co-wash; this isn't it. It smells weird (fake coconut???).
