If you have trouble or your install doesn't work read this
Love/hate with these adapters. Bit too pricey for what they are, can't seem to find alternatives so guess I'm very happy they exist.First, these are not RJ11 to RJ9 adapters, they are RJ11 to RJ11 with a short piece of cord that has an RJ11 on one end and an RJ9 on the other. This can make things a little un-tidy at the ends of a project.I'm using these to adapt for an inverter remote where I already have an RJ11 buried in the wall, but the inverter uses RJ9 for the remote. You likely have already read about how easy it is to pop these in half and re-configure the wires, thankfully that is the case. Here's the BIG tip. If your installing where you need one on each end, as I do to adapt from the inverter to my RJ11 cable and from the end of the cable back to the remote for the inverter, then pay attention. If your install using one of these at each end does not work, modify ONLY ONE of these adapters internally (changing the order of the wires). If you modify both of them, you un-do the correction that has been made at the other end. Modifying only one also takes approximately 1/10th of the time as modifying two, troubleshooting, running back and forth to the install trying to figure things out and eventually realizing that you only need to modify one if it didn't work as purchased. Hope this helps someone ;-)

Easy to reconfigure
You can separate the two ends and reconfigure the wiring for your own specific use. Very simple to use and reliable.
