I had low expectations for this but bought it on a whim anyway. It is total crap, doesn't work at all (either in general or as designed) and is a pain to even try to use. As a mechanical engineer. I am embarrassed for whoever thought this is up or signed off on the design. a simple paper towel does a better job and nothing is better than the Grunge Brush for chain cleaning. On a plus side, the little brushes than come with it are actually usefull in cleaning gunk between cassette gears. The blue thing went straight into the garbage.

Honestly this is the worst 8$ I ever spent. The tool literally fell apart as I tried to use it the very first time. The wheels and brushes just sit in the slots and the first time the chain runs through they just slide out and jamb up the whole mechanisms. Worst yet, you have to remove the handle every time to open the top. What's the use of having a handle if you have to remove it to attach the cleaner to the chain? Then what are you supposed to hold onto? You just removed the handle. So frustrating. Not worth the money.
