This worked so great! I work in a hotel and it has been super helpful with counting monies during shift changes. Perfect for businesses with small amounts of cash that need it counter quickly.

I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only request items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.Like many small businesses, we have a large amount of cash to process each evening. Staff use to count this by hand which takes time and is prone to errors. We needed to find a simpler way.This Royal Sovereign bill counter looked like what we were missing. I am familiar with the name brand and was excited to get this in and give it a try. Out of the box this guy is heavy and feels well built. This counter is a no-frills unit and not only counts but also does a magnetic and UV check on the bills to find counterfeits. This counter does not tell you the denomination or add the total in worth counted, which you will not find on a counter at this price point, it just tells you haw many bills you have. But it does this with speed and efficacy.I have used counters in the past and some have had issues with brand new bills sticking together and not providing an accurate count or old bills jamming as they feed. I was surprised with how well this counter fed bills and had very, very few hiccups while working. The feed hopper holds a few hundred bills, which is nice as you can count out a full 100 count stack without reloading it. Now you can’t just take a handful of bills and jam them in the hopper, please make sure they are straightened out and level, but I had no real feed issues. I have counted thousands of various bills in various states of wear and this guy just gobbles through them, providing an accurate number at the end.You can also use the “Batch” function and preset a specific number of bills you want counted. Like setting it to 50 bills for counting out a $1000.00 stack of twenty-dollar bills. You can set in increments of 10 and 1, letting you pick the exact number of any bill you want counted. Once that number is reached, the machine will stop counting, until you remove that stack from the front, and then it will continue counting to that preset number again. This makes quick work of stacks and stacks of twenty dollar bills that you want to band into $1000.00 bundles for a bank deposit, or that long overdue trip to Vegas.One thing to note, as I had this happen to me, is this counter will detect Mag and UV as part of its counterfeit detection feature (these function can be independently turned on or off by buttons on the control panel). Older bills, some are still in circulation, do not have whatever it is that this machine detects and will be designated as fake, the machine beeps and stops until you remove the bill. I had this happen to us on a few old twenty-dollar bills that were legit, just too old to have the anti-counterfeit features built in. But I share this to say, one, the machine does detect the counterfeits, and two, if it says you have one let your bank double check it as it may be good.As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. Yes, I would and am going to get a second one for the holiday season.

This is a "budget" bill counter for home or small business use. It does not differentiate between domination, just counts the number of bills. I think small business may see more value in this as a counterfeit detector. Good as a double check after hand counting as I would not solely trust this, or any machine as the final say on the count.

The media could not be loaded.  This is well built bill counter. Very powerful to suck the bill and count them. It starts to count immediately when you place the money pile on the slot. You don't need to press any button. It has UV and MG function to detect the fake money. I did test with plain paper. It stops at it right away and trigger the alarm.However it is not the typical bill counter that you see the tellers use at the bank. It doesn't have the capability to recognize the value of the bills and calculate them automatically. It just counts the number of bills. So it is kind of semi-automatic money counter. You have to sort the bills into group of same values, then use this machine to count the number in each group, then do the calculation yourself to get the total.

I got this for home use to count change bills that were often tedious to count. It was a great decision to get this bill counter. The machine was good to use straight out of the box and I only had to plug it in and turn it on. It counts fast, I tested the machine out by placing 100 bills in the hopper on count mode and it counted in just a couple seconds (this is capable of counting 1,500 bills per minute), but the hopper can only fit 150 notes at once. I appreciate the size of the machine, as other machines are often big and bulky, taking up a lot of counter space. This machine also does not look that out of place or an eyesore, but I do hope to find a better location to place mine because the cable looks pretty messy. I believe this would be great for business use as well, with its counterfeit detection function and the three modes that the machine is capable of: add mode (cumulative count of bills added), batch mode (counts a preset number of bills from all bills placed in the hopper automatically), and count mode (counts as normal with counterfeit detection turned off). Also very convenient that the user manual is just two pages, saving me from a headache of flipping through countless pages. Definitely recommend this bill counter!
