Is the anchor made of plastic? How sturdy is it?

It is plastic and incredibly sturdy. I’ve had this umbrella for a while now and absolutely love it. It comes with something to help you twist it into the sand. Super easy to set up and use. Very secure. We were at the beach on a really windy day and just watching everyone else go after their umbrellas as they blew away. Not ours!! It stayed put so well. 😎

Can this umbrella be used on a patio table inserted into an umbrella stand?

yes, we actually were just at a beach house rental that did not have an umbrella at the pool but had a stand so we used this in the stand and it worked perfect. This is a terrific beach umbrella. Very sturdy and easy to put together. It is also very easy to insert into the sand too. I give it a 5 star rating.
