TrespassMen's Digby Down Jacket

After looking everywhere for a red down jacket without much success I came across this.Trespass is not one of your big names like Rab or North Face but neither does it carry their large price tag.Delivery was quick and the quality is excellent, I used to be in a mountain rescue team and the quality of my outdoor kit is important to me. This jacket has met all my criteria at a fraction of the cost of the bigger named brands.It was made sweeter by the fact that I had £30 worth of Amazon vouchers because I changed my mobile phone supplier recently, by using them I only had to pay out £7.86 . . . Happy days.

I’m a great believer in that you get what you pay for and generally that’s the case especially when you buy online and cannot see the quality of the product etc.So my expectations of this jacket were not that high. However I was pleasantly surprised by how (for the money) warm it is.At 1/6th the cost of my RAB down jacket it’s definitely a great buy.

It's great quality and keeps me nice and warm when out walking in the colder months. It's lightweight, warm and comfortable but only complaints would be that the feathers do come out of the seams, and I must be in between sizes as the large is slightly big and the medium slightly small.Come with a handy little pouch for compacting it down then out on hikes so will be getting plenty of use when we are able to get over to the lakes for some hikes.Great jacket, low price for a down and worth a purchase.

Excellent down jacket at a reasonable price (especially when compared to other 'big' brands). Very lightweight and packable yet provides a good amount of warmth for the amount of fill and I would say it's ideal for cool Summer evenings or Spring and Autumn use. Not as athletically cut as some other brands and I found the sizing to be possibly a little on the big size but accurate enough for a mid/outer layer. Also very good as a windproof layer.

I love this coat! What an utter bargain, extremely warm, water resistant, ultralight and packs down to the size of a large mug. Perfect for wild camping and hiking. It doesn’t leak anywhere near as many feathers as the reviews would leave you to believe. It leaks some obviously, it’s down, down is like water and if it can get out, it will.Don’t expect this coat to be your outer layer. It’s more of a mid layer as it isn’t waterproof. That said though, if it isn’t raining or too cold then it does work as an insulated windbreaker.It’s a really economic way into the world of down jackets and I’d highly recommend it!
