Heavy little device - does what it's supposed to...
It's very heavy for the small size, but feels like good quality. Used it a few times and had no issues. Only gripe I have is that it appears heavily greased and gunk comes out at all connections like a leaky old car.... I'll wipe it off, no big deal, let's see what happens when all grease is gone....May 2020: After several months of use I have to downgrade this to a 2*: The mechanism does not appear to lock the top plate into place. Despite having the screw tightened - there is movement. Not usable anymore I'm afraid.

Disappointed it's now leaking gunk
Bought this as a lightweight head for video work with mirrorless cameras. Did the job ok although the tension adjustments aren't great and it's difficult to lock off pan or tilt completely (eg for carrying the rig around). The screw that locks the sliding plate in position is difficult to get at when there's a camera fitted. The big fail for me was when after a year or so of only light use, grease or similar gunk started to leak from the mechanism. Now I get sticky goo on my fingers when using the head, not ideal when I'm also handling a camera and lenses. For that reason I can't honestly recommend this head.

Looks good but doesn’t function very well.
Looks well made but doesn’t function very well. The tilt mechanism is greased with something that resembles a mix of tar and marmalade and is very stiff but suddenly becomes easier (I guess this is as the grease gets less viscous). It is difficult to adjust the tilt resistance - it’s either on or off. You get what you pay for, I’m returning mine.

Good sturdy piece of kit and very smooth action
Nothing to dislike.It's not going to be up to the standard of a Manfrotto but for something that is a fraction of the price its really well made and sturdy.

Iv had this for a while now and I use it more than my expensive ball bead.
