Bad design
The Silent Knight Pill Crusher. It saves stress on my wrist. I was using the CVS Pill Crusher Plus Storage which hurt my wrist. Daily use put strain on my wrist. The Silent Knight Pill Crusher does not crush the pills to powder. I have to use a hammer to turn pill to powder. I would not recommend the product because when , the plate curves. I have to push down on the lever 3-4 times and the pills still doesn't smash. If the plate was flat instead of curved, there might be a better chance of crushing the pills.

Nursing Point of View.
I like this brand. I have used them in nursing for a while now. I appreciate the quietness and ease of use compare to their other models that they have on the market. Remember that the more your crush the pill the more powder-like it will become. So my recommendation is that you crush the pill more than just once.

Have been using this for 12 years. It does crush the pill, The pills will appear to be hard and flattened, but readily dissolve in water.
