The product page describes this as having a "pleasant scent".That made me wonder, did they put some kind of fragrance in this?So of course, the first thing I did when I got this, was to open it and sniff the product at the neck of the bottle.No, they did not add any fragrance to this.If anything, right with my nose up to the bottle, it almost smelled a little rancid.Putting a small amount of this into the palm of my hand and then rubbing it into my skin it did not smell rancid.Using the correct amount, this will absorb nicely and fairly quickly.Using too much that won't be the case.This brand comes with a flip top cap, as opposed to a pump top.For me, that almost seems to allow a better control as you're dispensing it into your hand.One thing that this brand on the bottle and the product page do not mention is if this oil is extracted using hexane.For some people, that might be important.The other brand that I have received and tested does make that claim "no hexane used...."Other than that unanswered question, this appears to be a quality product and we will enjoy using it.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

I have found that sunflower oil works the best to moisturize my dry skin. I apply the oil to my wet skin after I shower. The oil locks in moisture and leaves my skin feeling soft and well nourished. I highly recommend this product for dry skin, and for any skin in all honesty!

I am in love with this stuff! It’s one of my favorite carrier oils. It’s great to mix any essential oil for roller bottles or whatever the need. I use it a lot in my skin care regimen. It absorbs well and it isn’t too thick or thin. There is hardly any scent but what is there is a nice one. You can also use it in the bath. Really makes the skin feel soft.

This sunflower ( Helianthus annuus) oil by Lisse Cosmetics is of decent quality for the price. You get 16 ounces of the pure oil per bottle. For the record, I do prefer my base oils to be packaged in glass rather than plastic. On the plus side, however, the plastic is amber to help prevent any spoiling or rancidity of the oil due to exposure to light.I used this oil as a base for an Egyptian pain salve that I make using Egyptian Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) Arnica (Arnica montana), Saintjohnswort (Hypericum perforatum) Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) essential oil and beeswax. I put all the her matter (lotus, arnica, SJW in the oil and let it simmer on the lowest setting for several hours. I drain off the marque (the used herb matter) using a cheesecloth, or clean flour sack dishtowel. In my opinion, the latter works far better than the cheesecloth and you can re-use it after laundering.I put the infused oil back into the crockpot and grate the beeswax if using a block of it, or add beeswax beads to the mixture. I reheat the mixture on the lowest setting until the beeswax melts completely, stirring on occasion until all is mixed together. I then pour this into jars or salve tins to be given as gifts or sold at the local farmer's market. As you can see from the photograph, when using the sunflower oil, the salve comes out smooth and in a lovely ivory color.The salve is especially good for muscle aches and pains. I have slight carpal tunnel in my wrists from years of writing and typing. The effect lasts a fairly long time. Keep the salve in a sealed jar or tin and ideally in a cool dark, place. As with any herbal remedy, essential oil, etc. keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Current price $8.99. I love reed diffusers and I have tons of essential oils and empty bottles. I thought, why not make my own reed diffuser! I had some bamboo skewers - I just needed to put the items together. I went online to see exactly what you need to put into your own diffusers - take 1/4 cup of oil, 2 TBSP of a alcohol and 7 to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. All I needed was oil, so I decided, I LOVE sunflowers, so I selected this oil as my carrier oil! I must say, the Sunflower oil works GREAT! Not exactly it's intended use but definitely the use I had intended it for! My diffuser works GREAT! 5 Stars! Hope you find this review and pictures helpful! My house smells GREAT! My skin is so soft!

Good quality sunflower oil. This is great for skincare and homemade beauty products. There is no scent, which is nice. This oil has a lower/thinner viscosity than I expected. It’s easy to use with great results.
