I bought this with no high expectations, just for dancing around the house with my daughter. But it has really surprised me how good it is. Sound quality is excellent, battery life is long and it looks cool with the different coloured lights.

I generally love it.?its not as loud as I wanted. Besides that I love it.

Sound is to good for its miniture size. Good bass with great value for money. Fast to charge and way live up to more battery life.

sound is ok, but controls are rubbish. Lights should be OFF as default, not third option! So every time you turn it on you have to mess about resetting the stupid lights. The volume and track select controls are the wrong way around. You can't control the volume accurately as you have to hold the button down and wait - and then it always goes too loud or too quiet. It should be single clicks to turn the volume up and down so you can set it properly.The neowave is much much better, but sadly twice the price. But still better to save and buy the better one.Oh and the sd card slot springclip was broken, so the SD card is in, but will never come out now

The speaker has some poorly designed features which I'll list below. Because of these I wouldn't buy this speaker again. However there are also some good features too.The bad stuff:- Audio quality is much more tinny (more trebble, less bass) than my other bluetooth, which is an old Anker soundcore mini.- In bluetooth mode the speaker randomly stops playing as if it's lost the bluetooth connection. It hasn't, you just have to press the "play" button and audio resumes. The music you were listening to will not have paused though and so you'll miss a chunk of it. This happens after a random amount of time and sometimes doesn't happen at all.- Battery life isn't all that great.- If you want to connect it to a headphone socket (i.e. to use the speaker without bluetooth), there's no headphone jack on the speaker itself. Instead, it comes with a special cable which has a micro usb connector on one end (the end that plugs into the speaker) and a headphone jack on the other end. The cable itself is very short and because it's not a standard headphone jack to headphone jack cable, you have to use the one supplied. This means the speaker has to be very close to the device and you'd better not ever lose that small, easily-loseable cable. Also, since there's only one micro USB port, you can't charge the speaker while using it with the headphone cable.- The on-off button is finicky. It's not clear how long to press it to turn the speaker on. If you give it a short press the lights flash briefly but then nothing. If you press it too long, also nothing. Same with switching between modes using the on-off button.- The volume control is similarly finicky. Giving a short press on the up or down buttons doesn't seem to affect the volume. Seems like the only thing is to press and hold either button, which makes accurate volume control difficult.The good stuff:- Speaker is reasonably loud. A little bit louder than my previous (smaller) speaker - anker soundcore mini.- Bluetooth connects quickly - much quicker than the anker speaker- While not an omni-directional speaker, the fact that the sound comes out of the sides as well as the front makes the speaker better heard than my previous speaker.- Addition of a hook and inclusion of a shoelace-like rope makes it easy to hang the speaker around the house instead of having to find a surface to put it on.All in all, it's functional (so no need to return it), but annoying (so I'll be buying a different speaker when I want to have two going at the same time for stereo).
