I'm very pleased with the entire transaction
This is the first time I purchased Caterpillar Boots, and the first time I purchased boots without being in a store. I'm very pleased with the entire transaction. I would warn that initially these were not comfortable as many boots or shoes aren't until you break them in. I unfortunately got them during a period where I was sick and unable to take them out to break them in very well, but even so it only took about three days for them to become comfortable.I was also very pleased with them at the beach. I tried walking in a few inches of water and felt no water coming through, though I don't even know if these are supposed to be highly water resistant.

Versatile boots
I've bought 3 pairs of these. I thought about giving it 4 stars because they always only last 10-11 months but you can't really go less than 5 on something you keep buying. I obviously think they are worth purchasing again and again. These can be worn anywhere and I wear them to my office job, out in the evening, to church, and to many outdoor activities. The look works with most of what I wear.

Good welding boots.
I bought this in 2014 and it finally ready for another pair...after 3 years of abuse. I should post a photo. I wear them in a welding shop and they've had the shoe laces burned out of them a bunch of times from plasma-cutting. I stepped on hot metal so many times over the years, the soles look like hell warmed over. When I first got them, they looked good enough to wear out on the town. I think I remember they were hard to break in, but now they are like gloves. I need replacements because I'm walking bowlegged, it's so worn down. I want them again but not for $95. They were $65 when I first bought them. I'm a cheapskate..

pleasantly surprised
Boots fit great. I wear a 9.5 in tennis shoes. These are a little big but big enough for say a winter sock. Color is slightly darker than the picture but I prefer that. Can't speak on all day comfort yet but once they are broke in I believe they will be fine.

Great Boot
Great boot. Fits somewhat large, so consider ordering .5 - 1.0 sizes smaller than your average shoe size. Other than fitment they hold up great, are comfortable and look great too. Will buy again.

Poor quality boot for the price
Nice looking but Poor quality boot. The sole of the boot began to detach after less than 2 months of casual wear (1-2 times a week). I purchased the boot in early Dec and the return policy expired 1/31so these are now unreturnable. I expected a higher quality product for the price and from the manufacturer.

but I bit the bullet and bought these and I wasn't disappointed they fit perfectly (size 11) they do not rub ...
This is my first pair of cat boots, I read all the reviews about them on Amazon, I don't normally buy boots or shoes on line because they never seem to be the right size then you have the hassle of sending them back, but I bit the bullet and bought these and I wasn't disappointed they fit perfectly (size 11) they do not rub or pinch. I've had them two weeks now and worn them every day, I walk the dog in the local water logged park and as yet they haven't leaked which is more than I can say about my Hi tech or my Freedom trail both of which let in water after a couple of weeks. These boots have the distressed leather look and I thought they may mark easily but the water just runs off them and any scuffs or scratches (ie : dogs claw marks) you can just rub out with your thumb So at the moment I am really pleased with my purchase, I'm just not too sure how to maintain them, but I'm sure someone on youtube will tell me. Well this is the 2nd part of my review I've had my boot a few months now and they are still comfortable but the left one has become water marked across the toe cap and become very light in colour which spoils the appearance of them and they leak where the leather meets the sole, which is shame because I love these boots, perhaps I was just unlucky and got a bad pair.

Nice Boots...
these are about the fifteenth pair of CATs I've bought - about all I wear on my feet - and I've always found the size 9 (UK) fits with a little room for my size nine feet. These boots fit the same but the 3rd pty insole I fitted was size 11! Weird! The leather uppers are a lot thicker and stiffer than I expected. These are also the 1st pair of CATs I've owned that needed 'breaking in', only took a week at work to do so though so no biggie.I can't understand why they skimp on the laces though, they won't stay done up no matter how firmly one tightens them. Two weeks in and after wearing these boots nearly every day I am very happy with 'em.

VERY COMFORTABLE BUT SOLES WORE DOWN TOO QUICKLY
very comfortable and fitted well, but the soles where completely warn down after two winters of wear ( which is only a few months worth in total) and seeing as i live in a city, i would expect it really to last longer for this price. its not like i was heavy on the wear and tear. I have decided to go back to DMs as their soles last a lot longer. i use train and tube stations a lot and the floors are quite slippy, these shoes were a hazzard to walk on those surfaces by the second winter,

Comfortable and look good
I find proper old style Cat boots very heavy for all day wear, so these seemed a good compromise. They're well made and very comfortable, I like the distressed look of them and they're quite light. They seem sturdy and look like they'll last a long time. I docked a star for the laces, they're awful and won't stay fastened! The best thing to do is cover them in neutral polish and dry them on a radiator, this works but it's a pain and shouldn't be necessary! Other than that very pleased.
