This book is one of the most boring communications books I have ever read in my life
This book is one of the most boring communications books I have ever read in my life. We used it in class for about two weeks before giving up on it entirely. Contained communications "skits" that were mind numbingly dull. If you ask me a communications class that uses a book like this over lecture and group discussion isn't worth taking. Thankfully my teacher realized that.

This Book Pays Divdends!
Very good. So appropriate for upper level communication majors. I use the scenarios at each chapter launch as class role plays. We go on to actual small group teams that are given research topics along actual business lines. This is my third year to use the text. One of my students led a small group in his business venture in Uganda, Africa, that was recognized by an Oxford University enterprise consortium and he won a cash prize!

Good, but there's a flaw
The book does the job, no doubt. But where the key terms are supposed to be Blue, they are instead a dark Grey. This made note-taking for my class very annoying, and sometimes I missed a few terms because the key terms didn't stand out.

Book for Grad Class
Had to have this book for a grad class. It actually was pretty informative & could easily be applied to daily life.
