Vacplus 60 Pints 4,000 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier with Universal Wheels for Medium Spaces and Basements (Nickname: VA-D1909)

In this product review, I will tell you about the dehumidifier and what I think about it, but I will also highlight the experience I had with their customer service.I purchased this dehumidifier a little over a year ago and it worked well: easy to operate, had multiple functions including auto-defrost and presets for rainy days and other such things, and it was relatively quiet as these larger units go. I had it configured to drain the water into a large external bin so I wouldn't have to empty the built in reservoir as often, as I had it set up in my basement which I didn't access too often. Everything worked wonderfully until about a year after my purchase. At that point there was a malfunction with the control panel, as far as I could tell. This unit displays the relative humidity of the room while its on, and I came down one morning and it showed a humidity of 20%, which was way off of the actual humidity. Even though I had far-passed the warranty on the unit, I contacted customer service via email to see if there were anything I could do to reset the panel or fix the problem.I was contacted by Lily, one of the customer service reps within 24 hours. I had described the problem, but she wanted me to send a short video showing the display, and she assured me that they would work with me to come with a solution to the problem. I sent a video and got a quick response back from her saying that the problem couldn't be fixed and that this model was no longer available (and thus couldn't be replaced). Instead she asked me if I would accept a FULL REFUND of the cost of the unit. I accepted, and my money was refunded within one day!I just have to say that I have rarely, if ever, been in a situation like this, where a company's product is way past the warranty period and yet they send out a refund when their product stops working properly. These guys stand by their products. And when it says in the user's manual "We guarantee a replacement or a full refund to you if you have any problems with your dehumidifier in the future!", they really mean it!Five stars all the way!

Bought this dehumidifier for my basement after looking at several other brands. I settled on this one because it seemed to have the most features, which I will go over thoroughly, at a very reasonable price and quick shipment.The basement is halfway below ground level and it naturally holds moisture constantly, especially since the washer and dryer are housed there as well. The Vacplus dehumidifier had me very surprised by its design, intuitive function and effectiveness. I set it up in my basement and within 6 hours of use I could feel the difference in the air quality, I could feel the crisp air and my skin didn't feel sticky.The design is pleasant to look at, it has a pull up hinge which makes it easy to move around with wheels on the bottom as seen in the picture. It has a dust filter which can be easily cleaned. The reservoir is conveniently placed at the bottom with an auto shutoff trigger. But that's not all you can also attach the hose that is provided for continuous drainage.It has 4 different operation modes, standard, raining, drying and sleeping. I did not notice a big difference in the noise level between modes however, the sleep mode does sound quieter. The noise level is at a very comfortable dB. It has a humidity button so you can set the desired humidity. In addition, it has a full functioning mode, a defrost mode in the case that it does freeze over, a 24 hour timer, and an anion feature which captures dust, and allergens.What more can you ask for?You get so many features and functions for such a low price, would strongly recommend!!!
