I use this as a 'nutraceutical' for our herd of cats. I got an alcohol-free cornsilk tincture last year specifically for one who was having mild urinary distress, added it to his food, and it cleared up quickly. Moreover, the other cats found the smell very appealing. I got this powder to add to the powdered supplement mix I toss their high-grade kibble in (they also get wet food and freeze dried raw). I don't use a lot--1/8 tsp in a large 'cereal box' size container--and too much on a regular basis wouldn't be good for them anyway, but it serves as a flavor boost and seems to help them feel better as well. Will be exploring the human benefits as well, but am very pleased with the product. No complaints yet with anything I've gotten from Bulk Supplements.

This product has been great for our dog's nighttime urinary incontinence. She is a rescue lab who came to us with terrible bedwetting. We use this corn silk powder on her food, both morning and night in addition to another natural supplement that wasn't working by itself. Great alternative to prescription meds. I use this as a supplement for my female dog who has a urine leaking issue. She was on daily meds for the condition and I wanted something natural. So far this as worked great. I only give her a half dose twice a week of her meds and the corn silk daily. Soon going to wean her off the meds totally. Very happy with results.

I am taking this as an alternative to oxybutynin, a medication for bladder spasms brought in by trauma. Oxybutynin cause massive dry mouth and dry eyes. I began using corn silk, dried and powdered after reading the National institute of health study of 2012. Highly recommend everyone read it. Corn silk, dried and powdered, is fantastic tasting beverage in hot water. I mix 1/2 tsp with 2 cups hot- but not boiling - water. Because it has a diuretic effect i would not take it at bedtime. 2-3 hours before bedtime works very well. It has a gentle soft mouth feel and comforting to the entire digestive and urinary tract. It has bioactive constituents such as flavonoids and terpenoids that assist with our fear of dangerous side effects.

The Corn Silk tea purchased from Bulk Supplements is a very good quality. We make a tea by boiling and drink this on a regular basis. Please note I am not a medical doctor but I learned from ayurvedic practitioner and hearbalist from India recommend this product to improve kidney function. It acts like a diuretic .
