Port Authority Men's Nootka Jacket

I had a race team jacket just like this. Ended something a little more plain. Perfect.

I have only had this a few days but it seems like a good coat. The only problem is the zipper is on the cheap side and it really needs to be beefer and more rugged. The zipper gets stuck at the bottom and it is hard to get it started.

I actually ordered this jacket because we have the same ones at work, and I love them. But of course I can't wear my work jacket for things like walking the dogs, so I ordered one of my own. The medium is large enough that I can wear it over a few layers without it being absurdly tight, but isn't so large that it is overly huge to wear over a t-shirt by itself. Of course, I got to try on these jackets before I ordered them, so I knew what size I wanted. I'd say I would normally wear a women's large, so a men's medium is exactly what I would expect to wear.The jacket is lined with an awesomely warm, thick, and soft lining that helps keep you warm. The sleeves have velcro so they can be closed tight against the wind, and the hood is adjustable so that it can be kept close around your face to keep your head warm.The only thing I would say as a negative about this jacket is that the neck adjustable piece is right at the back of the head. When I put my hair up in a ponytail, that little piece grabs and pulls my hair unless I carefully adjust the collar. Overall, not a big deal, just a small annoyance. Certainly not a big enough one to keep me from purchasing this jacket, since I knew about it before I made the purchase.

This is a nice jacket. I have a Port Authority jacket in XL so I ordered this style in XL as well, but it's slightly too large. Not to say it's not OVERLY large, but I think a Large may have been better. It's on the thicker side compared to other rain jackets. But it's also a bit warmer then other jackets so that's good. I don't tend to like bulky jackets which is why I wear insulated rain jackets. This is a nice jacket. I think it would do well in the snow even but for me, everyday wearing, it was too bulky so i'm going with another Port Authority Jacket that I know I like. I wish the inside pocket had a zipper instead of the velcro but that's not a huge deal.

My son loves this Jacket! He looks great in it. Comfortable, warm, elegant and waterproof. Two thumbs up!

Many reviewers complained about pocket depth but I didn’t feel they were any different than my other jackets. If you want to carry a tool box in your pocket, this is not the jacket for you. I live near Canadian border and am never cold in this jacket.

I had one of these as a work issue jacket, liked it until someone broke into my truck and stole it. I liked it will enough to buy a new one to replace it, fits good, keeps me warm and dry when I'm out in the field.

The jacket is of solid construction and materials. It's warm, and likely water-tight. It's a good jacket.However, my #1 pet peeve about jackets is shallow pockets. I've got a wallet and keys, a phablet phone and ear piece, and two giant bear paws for hands. I need deep side pockets, and for the life of me, I can't understand why almost the entire industry of jacket makers fail to recognize how $0.10 of extra material in the pockets would make for a 1,000% better customer experience. I'll be cutting the pockets open and whatever that produces will be better than my wallet and phone falling out because the pockets were too shallow to hold anything.I also would have preferred a removable liner. Guess I didn't do my research on that one.

A little larger then expected, I did order larger as most jackets I have bought were smaller then described. good quality coat for the price. heavier then I expected.
