Better than I thought. Amazing time accuracy.
I admit that after first submitting this purchase, I had a little buyer's remorse. I intended on returning it as soon as it came in. However, once I had it in my hands, I found it to be better when seeing it in person. The indicators on the bezel are not as bright a yellow color as they appear in the stock photo. I find the slightly more subdued color fits better with the overall look of the watch. The watch case and band buckle are a satin grey color. Not completely black, but also not too shiny. The cardinal points glow sufficiently, even after hours in the dark, to be seen easily in low light. It's a little weird that the luminous paint is on the wrong end of the second hand, but this isn't critical to me for normal operation. The band is the most comfortable I've had in a long time. The surface of the silicone band feels soft. Even so, the band is plenty sturdy.I've had the watch for a week now. In the pic I have the watch next to a GPS time receiver. As you can see, the time is exactly right after a week of use. This is far better than I expected. The stated accuracy is +/-15 seconds/month. At the current rate it will be better than +/-4 seconds/month. You can't get better than that without a radio connection to the atomic clock.

Excellent entry-level diver watch that every diver should own
I just got the watch today and was not expecting a mid $200 watch would return in such a high quality. When worn on the wrist, it's very comfortable and it doesn't feel cheap at all. The dial, the bezel and markers are very well made. The Lumi-Brite markers are clearly visible in the dark. The glass is so crystal clear that I can read the time quickly, and the cyclops magnifies the date legibly. If I have to pick on one negative, the second hand, does not align perfectly but it's not enough for me to take away a star. This is an excellent entry-level diver watch you cannot go wrong. Two thumbs up!! If this short but realistic review is helpful to you, please give me a thumbs up.

Good reasonably priced diving watch
I purchased this watch as a supplement to my diving computer for use during scuba dives. I used it on two dives yesterday, taking it down to 65 feet. The watch was easily legible and showed no evidence of leakage. I find that an analog time readout is nice to have in addition to all-digital information on the computer. The silicone band is comfortable and elastic enough to be tightened down over a 5mm wet suit and still remain snug as the suit compresses at depth. I think it is a handsome watch that wears a bit smaller than its 43.5 mm diameter. The solar-powered quartz movement is a bonus for a "tool" watch. I own several expensive mechanical dive watches, but they are too valuable to risk underwater. Also note that mechanical movements require clean and lube service every four years, which costs several hundred dollars. Quartz movements are much cheaper to maintain. The simpler maintenance was a key factor in my decision to buy a quartz-based dive watch.

Great tool watch
Looks better in person. Good finishes. On this watch the bezel seems to move a bit too easily. The bezel should stay in place once set and should take some effort to move to adjust.

Outstanding watch at a great price!
My husband purchased a Seiko watch on our honeymoon, forty years ago. After noticing that he was losing time, I decided to try to find his watch to replace it for our anniversary. This was the exact watch, 40 years later, at a lesser price than we paid for the original! Needless to say he was blown away when he opened the package! He may not dive anymore, but he loves the features of this watch. Extremely accurate, low profile on the wrist. Couldn't ask for a better watch!

Don’t buy this horological horror!!
I’ve owned a LOT of Seiko watches and, have always loved the brand. This watch should be avoided at all costs. Here’s why:When Seiko announced this watch, last year, i was excited. It was a simple aesthetic and had a date magnifier—something I would otherwise find useful.Update to now: I got the watch for a significant discount (YAY!). But, from the moment I put it in front of strong sunlight until I packed it in the box for return shipment, it remained inert. More, I like a watch I can actually feel on my wrist. This feels flimsy. Oh, and the magnifier for the date becomes unreadable if there’s any strong light in the vicinity.

Great everyday watch. But ..... died after 2 years.
Fit and finish is very good. The silicone strap was a little long (for a landlubber like me), so I had to shorten it to size. Easily done with an Exacto knife and sandpaper. All in all, no regrets at all.9/2020 update: Earlier this year, started to lose time. Then stopped working completely. After browsing various forums, gave it a 'proper sunbath' for about 2 days. Seemed to set it right, but unfortunately problem came back again. I don't expect a solar battery to die in less than 2 years. Changing to 2 stars. Sad experience.

A classic in the making
This is a brilliant watchArrived in just a few days to AustraliaIt fits very well on my smaller wristAnd it looks beautiful-quite stunningSeiko have gone to a lot of trouble with the design- the black theme that included the black band is as distinctive as a Rolex Dive watch at a fraction of the price - maybe Seiko should call it the Stealth SeikoPlus it’s solar poweredThe lumens flow like crazy straight out of the box with no exposure to sun since it was madeI have over 30 Seiko and citizen watches and this is at the top of the listBuy it- it will put a smile on your dial every time you look at it
