Solid map for exploring the Grand Canyon. Useful to use without needing a phone while backpacking.

Nat Geo is my fave hiking map. Detailed, accurate, and water proof. You know what works with no cell service in canyons? Paper lol, always paper!

National Geo. maps are so good and the Grand Canyon trails are a personal bucket list. The maps are detailed topographic, probably outdated by references like Caltopo but you can't beat a tabletop covered with one of these!

I have a couple of dozen Nat Geo Maps. I am a map and compass kind of guy. I like Nat Geo maps for they have a good scale and they are waterproof and tear resistant.These maps, missing lots and lots of trails in the grand canyon. I'm an avid Backpacker and outdoorsman, These maps only have the super heavy traffic "tourist trails" on them.Highly disappointed Nation Geographic, Highly disappointed. You still get 2 stars, because they are waterproof and tear resistant. The lack of trails... Come on!

These are the best maps. I have a couple on my mud room walls for reference and then copies that I carry with me. They are informative, easy to read and understand, and attractive. They hold up well to moisture and abuse. Whenever I start planning a new hike, I always start with Nat. Geo maps.

Thought it was a well planned book with nice amount of history and geolgy to make a hike more interesting.

This is pretty good value at about uk £10 for 3 maps covering the huge extent of grand canyon national park. It includes the backcountry camping zone numbers- which you need to apply for a permit for the wilder parts of the park. If you are just visiting by car or are intending to walk down the most popular 'corridor' trails (bright angel, kaibab south and north) then you don't need to buy the 3 maps - only the central one.
