Works great for mead
Works great! Easy prime start that doesn't disturb the sediment and can reach to the bottom of a 5 gallon jug

Very good tool
No more placing lips to a hose to get fluids flowing. This sleeve pump works very well to get the siphon started. The unit comes apart to enable the ease of cleaning. There was zero leakage, and its size allows for convenient storage.

Nice siphon that works we, but has 2 major problems...
I bought this autosiphon because I homebrew. The siphon itself is very easy to use once you put it together. There are 2 problems I had with it though. The tubing is VERY difficult to attach to the siphon. Took me over 20+ minutes to get it attached. Once it's attached it seals and stays on the siphon very well. The 2nd problem I had...the siphon comes with 8 feet of tubing. For homebrewing I don't need 8 feet of tubing. I cut about 3 feet off of the tubing to make it easier to use and more manageable when transferring liquid from vessel to vessel. Attaching a bottling wand is just as difficult, if not moreso than attaching the tubing to the siphon. Once it's on there it works great, it's just a pain to get it on there. Takes a long time and alot of patience. Overall the siphon works very well once u get past attaching the tubing to the siphon and attaching a bottling wand to the tubing. Ease of use is great, ease of assembly is a whole other story.

Makes Liquid Transfer Easy!
I ordered one of these and the item I received was broken on arrival. I received great customer service. It was not evident while it was in the package, but there was a quarter-sized star-shaped crack on the side of the main part of the siphon tube that made the first unit I received unusable.I contacted the seller and they worked quickly to remedy the issue. I returned the broken item via an Amazon kiosk at a retailer near me, and the new one was shipped to me. It was not very long before it arrived.I received it and the new unit was in perfect condition. I have used it several times since then. Works wonderfully. It is a bit difficult to get the 8 foot of tubing onto the siphon angled tube at the top (heated water is your friend), and you have to be careful when putting it on to fully support the angled tube so that it won't break. The plastic seems a bit brittle, but it is not flimsy. So long as you are careful and don't over-flex the angled tube, you should be fine. Also don't let the tubing drag as dead weight on that tube if you can help it to increase the longevity of the siphon. The packaging for shipping could be improved to better protect that top angled tube from impact. Both the units I received were put in a box that was too long for the item by almost a foot and a half, and the padding was just a couple of shreds of partially-wadded paper that were not positioned to cushion where the tube was. One good impact to that tube and the whole siphon is ruined. I was lucky that wasn't my issue on either unit I received.

Fits perfectly for my 5 gallon carboys
Absolutely love this thing. I had a mini for my 1 gal carboys, but I just got some 5 gal carboys and started using them, so I needed a larger siphon. Since I loved the mini by fermtech, I decided to buy this regular size one as well, and I am not disappointed at all. Would 100% recommend for racking mead / wine if you're looking for something to help you out. The only downside is that they can be a bit tough to clean correctly. This is nothing to do with fermtech, but its just given the shape of the siphon. Make sure you get a brush that can fit inside to clean it.

Love the length
Be sure to know what length you need and be careful buying. Somehow we kept getting the shorter ones in our search and wanted a long one for our 5 gallon carboy. This one is working great and haven’t had any issues

Works GREAT!
I bought this after using a standard racking cane and tube on many batches of home brewed Mead. This made my life so much easier and speeded up my racking to a secondary carboy and bottling. Will tell everyone I know that does home brew about it! It comes apart so easily and cleans just as easily. Putting the tubing on the inner pipe was very easy for me because I let hot water run over it for a minute. Worked just fine on my one gallon carboy and my 2 gallon brew buckets. Can’t wait to use it on my 6.5 gallon batch. Would buy this again.
