Excellent
I was skeptical because they are made in China. Checked the calibration out of the box with a set made by Zurn. The iCrimps were spot on. Features: chrome plated jaw base, nice machine and finish work; very light and compact. Works great with pex and pb. You will need the force from two hands to complete the crimp. But two short pieces of pipe for leverage can overcome that small issue. Outstanding when minimizing drywall work. Works well in a small access hole head on.Pair this set with a Sargent hand vise, not the Superior tool. Now your doing repairs in the smallest of holes-game changer. Tighten with 1/2 ratchet. Done.

Works in fairly tight spaces
These worked great for installing the new water heater- Was first time using PeX and that really simplified the plumbing. My only complaint would be that it takes quite a bit of hand strength to complete the crimp. but I crimped about 50 connections (including a few practice and temporary connections ) and never once did I have any leaks. I highly recommend these if you have decent hand strength because they can get into tighter spaces than the straight crimper that has more leverage. At this price, it was a no brainer to use these because the automated tools are 4-5x more expensive and unless you are going to do PeX for a living. then using these a few times and wearing out your hands is acceptable. They are well built and required no calibration, The go - no go gauge was included as was a cutter making this purchase a good value

Good enough for a pro
The cutters didn’t survive long the screw that holds them togeather broke but the crimpers them selves are well worth it. I’m a plumber and do pex repipe side quite frequently and these have held up so far with no need consistent adjusting. If you don’t wanna spend the go dress on the hood ones I would definitely recommend these to bridge the gap.The only negative is the rubber sleeves shift the one side falls off and the other slides up but that happens on most pex crimpers so…

Handle grip slides right off!
So i like pex. used other copper ring crimps, but did not care for this one the 1/2" crimper don't know why the grip that is on the lever u have to pull out slides right off making this tool very difficult to useThou the 1" grip stays tight and don't slip off.Possible I got 1 out of the 2 defective. Will be returning.

Absolutely great product
I read a lot of reviews and I've been a plumber for a very long time so I've dealt with many different kinds of crimpers that are specifically just like these ones they all are a little bit difficult to crimp when you first use them I mean it's just like a pair of bolt cutters with one hand so don't listen to the other reviews that say they're kind of hard to crimp they work just fine and great priced

works good
Bought these PEX tools for a shower remodel. Read the reviews and decided to go with them. I only used the 1/2" tool and the cutter. The cutter worked well. Cut through the PEX like butter. The crimper worked well. Read where some people liked to double crimp or close the tool from two positions on the brass ring. I tried it and no crimps leaked. The only caution I would have is that the tool is hard to close. I read a review before I bought the tool that recommended using pipe extensions for added leverage. Now I know what that was all about. The tool could be longer to add the needed leverage, but then you would lose the added flexibility of getting in tight spots. A great idea would to be make screw on extensions. But all in all it worked great for the price.

The angle head design makes it easy to use in tight spaces, and the included cutter is a bonus.

Work well, solid tool, very good value.
Home handy person, needed for 1” Pex…only had a couple of 1” connections to do and didn’t want to break the bank. Worked perfectly. Good to have for potential future jobs.

These crimpers are excellent!
I've plumbed multiple homes and these work excellent! They are a bit hard to press closed considering they are 1" and I was crimping oxygen barrier pex which is a bit stronger pex pipe, but the offset head and slide open jaw makes it really great for tight locations!! Very pleased with these crimpers.
