About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. The Friendliest PushpinHow did you come up with the idea for this product? As a Design and Studio Arts student I often displayed work on the wall for critiques in the majority of my classes. I hated the fact that we always had to poke holes in our work or come up with elaborate ways to avoid damaging it. I knew there had to be a way around this, and thought it was odd that I couldn’t just go out and buy a better option than a regular pushpin. I prototyped extensively until I came up with the most minimal object possible. Shortly after I graduated I was able to find a way to manufacture the prototype. Pon was born! What makes your product special? It’s just a very simple object that does what it needs to. No bells and whistles about it.What has been the best part of your startup experience? The reality of creating something that people use and enjoy. I love when others enthusiastically post pictures of Pons being used in many creative ways.

Conceptually Brilliant
These have such a fantastic concept! I hate poking holes in anything I hang, but I don't like framing everything either. I use these for small prints and little reminder notes at my office mostly. They are definitely just for cork boards or the equivalent though; there is no way I could get them into sheet rock without damaging the pin. I haven't tried them on posters or anything like that; just 8.5"x11" sized things or smaller.

I love these pins
I love these pins! I don't have to push pins and make a whole through nice postcards or posters or photographs. I live in an apartment right now, so I am not able to put holes in the wall or anything, however, I would like to frame these pieces in the future and this product has allowed me to have them up until I am able to frame them without ruining them.

I like the clever design and packaging
I like the clever design and packaging, but this actually didn't hold up a poster very well. I think these pins would work really well with smaller, stiffer art like printed photos or postcards. For a bigger image printed on smaller paper, I couldn't get everything taut and aligned nicely.

Great for hanging special keepsake art
These little things are great! I work in travel and had some vintage postcards I wanted to hang in my cubicle but didn't want to put holes in them. These are perfect for hanging without worrying about damage.

Very Unique | You Can't Say That About Office Supplies Very Often!
These are a stocking stuffer for my 'office supply' loving daughter. She will love these because they are so functional, no holes in any more copies or posters at work or her home office.

but they work great and are very well-built
I didn't end up using these for what I intended, they were slightly too big for that, but they work great and are very well-built.

Ugh
Not nearly as user-friendly as I expected. Difficult to grab paper with "rings" and the point isn't very sharp to penetrate standard bulletin board. Actually more of a headache and frankly, I'd rather have a million push-pin holes in my stuff.
