Revised DON'T BUY !!
FINAL UPDATE: After trying two of these, I believe they are old batteries. Both failed to hold a charge and had less overall power and life than the 5-year-old OEM battery I replaced. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!The build quality and packaging are good. Since the battery is built to fit a number of HP models, the lead wires were longer than the original. It's a tight fit inside the 13" HP Spectre, so the excess wire made for some difficulty to get the battery in place. Other than that, the fit was good. The cheap screwdrivers supplied were correct for the the job, but I used my own. Be aware that there are screws hidden under the back two pads in addition to the six you can see. It's a comparatively easy job. Remove the eight screws, carefully pry the back until it pops loose, remove the four screws holding the battery, and unplug the single connector. Reverse that and you're done. The battery came with about 65% charge. Since lithium batteries do better when not stored fully charged, that seemed reasonable. After the second charge, the capacity seems quite good with my test software reporting 10-12 hours of life with light duty. That's on par with the OEM battery. Time will tell how it holds up.UPDATE: After a few cycles and calibration, this is not acting like a new, fresh battery. After a full charge it reads 100%, but two days later with the computer shut down, it's dropped to 92%. When running test software, the life is now 6-8 hours with a lot of fluctuation.

Fits perfectly and works great
Worked for me!After removing the exposed hex screws - great that they include the screwdriver - push hard to ensure you don't strip heads - I had to remove two of the black feet on the back to get the back off because they hide another two screws. The two front feet have no screw under them. You may have to use some adhesive on the feet after reassembly. I also had to use a "spooging" tool to get the back cover to come off - you may need to use a thin blade, flathead screwdriver, or fingernail to slide around the edges and loosen it up.Yes there's a bit of cable that needs folding up - but it was an identical amount to the existing battery so I just copied how that had the cable twisted and squished to fit it. It was tight but after screwing down the screws next to it all was good.Left the laptop to charge over night and my wife is now happy. We didn't do any of the calibration stuff or experience any errors from the laptop. My only complaint is the little booklet that says it is instructions is not about how to install the battery but about the recalibration process. I'm guessing this battery fits many different laptops so there is no one set of instructions they can produce. Fortunately common sense and experience with removing feet to find hidden screws saved the day.

Easy replacement
Since I had to replace my OEM HP battery after 2 years, ordered this one for an easy replacement. Worked fine for 2 months and started to lose charge so fast and now need to replace again. Wish it had lasted at least for a year. Replacing every 3 months its not a viable option.Edit: Updating the rating to 4 stars for honoring the warranty and sending me a free replacement battery very fast and providing excellent after sales service. Hoping that this will last longer.

First one DOA. Second one worked
Ordered to replace an aging Spectre360 battery. Installed it and it was totally dead. No power, no boot, wouldn't take a charge. In retrospect it was an obvious returned battery. The box showed signs of being previously opened, not shrink wrapped, and the power cable was twisted 180 degrees. The twist is necessary to properly install it, but it doesn't come that way from the factory so somebody had installed it before it came to me, returned it, and Amazon just shipped it back out without testing.Needless to say I returned it too. The replacement was shrink wrapped, box was intact, cable was straight, and it worked after installation, then properly took a full charge. So, kudos to Amazon for a quick and easy return/ replacement. -2 for shipping used, returned merchandise without a quality check. I just feel bad for the guy who is going to get the re-returned battery next.

Don’t Buy!
I replaced my OEM battery with this one after the original started faulting. Right away I noticed the battery life was terrible for a “new” battery. The laptop essentially was only usable hard wired to power. A couple years later my battery inflated as seen in the photo. I have to look for another replacement hopefully OEM and pray I don’t blow up trying to remove this one.

Fairly Easy To Install and Works
The battery was pretty easy to install. I watched a couple of YouTube videos before I started which helped it go pretty smoothly. If you have laptop model HP13-ac023dx, know there are an additional two hidden screws under the two back feet of the laptop. They have to be unscrewed with the other (6) screws to remove the back panel. None of the YouTube videos (including the one by HP) mentioned this. I used a flathead screwdriver to pop off the two back feet off to access the screws. Once I figured that out, replacing the battery was pretty quick.

Didn’t last
I bought this to replace the battery on my HP Spectre x360 13 ac63dx laptop and it was easy to install. It worked fine for maybe 6 months but deteriorated quickly. I was very disappointed since I don’t even use my laptop very often or for demanding tasks. I started getting HP battery alerts during startup and I had to always have my laptop plugged into the charger for it to stay on. However, now it will turn off randomly even when plugged into a charger. This was not a durable battery in my experience and I would not recommend.
