Q: Would owning this screen make any difference in picture quality compared to just a white wall?

A flat polyester material has far less texture than a painted wall, so it will provide a better image but that depends on how smooth your walls are compared to the quality of this material. Painted walls, unless perfectly smooth will distort and blue the image.

Q: I want to hang in my unfinished garage. Will it show wood behind screen

Sometimes my eyes focus and I can see the outline of bricks behind me screen. It's not bad and my protector is cheep 300 lumen. The crock wall is grey and it's mortar is white in my basement

The one I just got only has six. One in each corner, one in top middle and bottom middle. The bigger screen you get the more grommets it has. Some of the pictures are for the larger size screens.

Q: Would this screen be any good for an outdoor cinema?

This screen would be suitable for outside use but would not recommend leaving out in adverse weather conditions. I personally will be using mine outside but the deciding factor will always be how good your projector is in twilight conditions. I hope that I have been of use to you.
