I purchased this remote to control my Android streaming TV box. This remote has a very nice appearance, is sturdy and feels good in your hand; however, like most companies in China that make products and provide user guides, they fall extremely short with accurate, step-by-step information and their wording is in the poorest English possible, which will cause you confusion and irritation. I don't understand how Amazon allows this to happen and why Amazon does not have stricter requirements for their vendors that sell products on their site. If Amazon doesn't change their vendor requirements pertaining to installation guides, they will continue doing double work for customers by way of ordering and returning of products.If you like a great challenge and have a lot of time to invest, I would purchase this remote; otherwise move on to another product. I found that an Air Mouse made by Ideapro, Aerb and others, make a good remote with descent instructions for programming some of the buttons on their remote. When you contact their support regarding the learning keys", be prepared to get an email back with a "cut and paste" of the same instructions you received with your remote, ugh. They are clueless on understanding what you are asking and cannot properly instruct on "operating their remote". You will want to pull your hair out!So here's what went on; I spent many hours trying to figure how to break the top secret "Chinese TV remote control instruction sheet code". The only reason I stuck with it was because the remote is built fairly well, is comfortable in your hand and is rechargeable. I was able to successfully program the keys after many hours, but the steps were so involved and took such a long time, the average user would just give up and return this item. Also, when you want to use the keyboard on the reverse side of the TV remote and you press the enter key, it does not perform the "enter function", rather it places the letter "q", which in my opinion, make this remote totally useless. I know this issue could be corrected, but the process to do so in not for the average user and should not have to be.This company needs a higher level of quality control and until they do so, they can expect that 75% or higher, of the remote controls they send to market will eventually be returned.

The buttons lock up or stick causing repeating characters. The IR range for typing is weak and very directional, even my hand seems to block the signal. Cannot rrecommend until these features are corrected. Could be the front and back need more separation. and perhaps rounded raised buttons might have been better. Update: I figured out a way to improve part of my remote's functionality. What I did was: Using some mini tools (two flathead screwdrivers) I removed the top casing (going around from the power button to the mute button then the blue horizontal function button and finally the red function button. The are holders around the the top of the power and mute button, the left and right triangle-shaped directional buttons around the OK button. The number 1 and TV button. below the blue and red horizontal function button. Removing the casing did not improve sticky buttons always occurring, but at least I can feel around them with ease. Also the bottom casing can be removed, but it has the battery. Also do not remove the casing where the ABC keyboard is the rubber pad is loose there, unlike the number and power button side.

The first one I ordered, I charged it up right away and it lasted about ten hours and died... Thought it must be the battery, so charged it, the little red charging light came on, but nothing happened. Restart the PC, nothing. It died for good after not even a complete day of use.Gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a second one... It came straight out of the box looking like a refurbished piece of crap, with grubby fingerprints on it and everything. The plastic ring around the middle button is falling off right out of the box! Unbelievable!Pay some extra money for something that will last more than a day.

Looking for something like this for years... didn't even know they made them...so much easier than a mouse that you have to have on a flat surface... especially if you have a big screen that allows you to see from any where in the room. Love it... I keeps you from having to run over to the old mouse ever 5 minutes to surf. Works as easy as a tv remote control.I still use my regular mouse up close... (just used to it) but I love having this one when I want to move around the room.

I really like the keypad on this remote, but hate the controls. The controls work fine, but the one big flaw is that all the buttons (numbers, up, down, left, right, OK, Return, Home, Menu,etc) are all the same height. You lose the feel to where your fingers are. Unlike the original remote that came with my box and most remotes you buy, they have raised ridges around the controls. When you pick up your remote, you can "feel" your thumb resting where it needs to be. For example, with this remote, I can pick it up and want to hit ok, but I end up hitting the down arrow. So, the problem is there is no opportunity to get a "feel" of your remote so you can operate it without having to look at it. Otherwise, it's a very good product product, especially the keyboard on the back. The keys pads are nice and soft and they actually click. Feel solid. But the control side, nah..I ended up buying the "Rii i8+ Mini Wireless 2.4G Backlight Touchpad Keyboard with Mouse for PC/Mac/Android, Gold (MWK08+)". Now I'm happy.

This is the second one I bought. I bought one for my daughter who is doing online study for her Master's program and it work so well for her, connecting her computer to her TV... I decided to buy this one for myself. So far great little gadget! Sure wish I can sample some more of their products:) I am following this company.
