POWER PRODepth-Hunter Metered Line

I've run this on my trolling rods the last 2 years after using mono for years. My primary reason for switching was depth counting being more accurate than a true clicker that didn't always work. At first the price made me nervous after all I was only trolling. Overall I am very please and will never go back to mono. The sensitive is on a whole different level than mono. No more guessing if your lure is fouled, you can feel that crank bait working. The only draw back is the lack of stretch caught me off guard the first time I hung up but that is what drag is for. I can now reliably using my trolling app know what depth my lures are and target specific fish on the graph. The second perk is that I was re-spooling with mono monthly now I have been going on 2 years on the same line. Although I wouldn't recommend that.

Added to abu Garcia ambassador 6500c3 reel. 80lb test. A little smoother than regular powerpro spectra. As I added the line to the reel, I felt some occasional rough bumpy almost kinks, potentially at the 5 yard marks. That was at the mostly beginning of the line which is placed at the bottom of the reel spool. Unsure if these are potential weak spots. Not overly concerned due to the pound test.Using for suspend fishing to give a quick accurate estimate of the amount of line out.

After spooling my brand new reel, it and everything around me was covered in this colored dust! It got all in my reel and all over everything. I wasn't using gloves or anything that would cause excessive dust to be produced. Just spooling it on through the eyelets on the rod. I would not recommend on that alone.

Today's fishing lines are really, really good, but Power Pro Depth Hunter braid is my favorite. It is marked in 25 foot sections and there are four colors to a section. Also each section has a black mark every five feet so you always know how much line you have out when trolling or drift fishing. I am in the process of adding this to many of my fishing reels. I just absolutely love how it performs.

What's not to like about power pro? The metered line in 40 lb test has the same diameter as trilene 10lb xt, so using it with the percision trolling app is easier than calibrating line counter reels.

I've been using PowerPro braid for over 15 years, quality durable line used on over 25 of my rigs, it's my preferred line.Great quality line, paired with a fluro leader using the FG knot makes for an awesome combo you can't go wrong with

I use it on 2 bait clicker spinning reels I have for setting a depth quickly on downlines for drifting for catfish& striped bass. I like the black hash marks every 5 feet to use ad depth indicators, as some metered lines I've used before just had a color change that was sometimes hard to tell the exact 5 foot indications on. Seems to tie and hold knots well. Did not use on a reel used for casting so I really cant say how it would work for that.

we use this troll and know exactly how much line is out to precisely set our baits. No breaking or other issues. Largest fish landed was 18lb bluefish, which fought like a 50 lb striper, LOL. No complaints

Have used 40lb in the past and bought 50 depth hunter this time for a different reel. Good product. Delivered to Vancouver Canada in about 1 week.
